What happens if China refuses to return the navy drone they stole?

This is interesting.

What's ahead between China and the US as a result of stealing the US Navy drone.

First it was located 56 miles west of the Philippine's bay which is an International water.

Second what's possible implications can possibly affect the two countries' relationship?

Anyone?

Note: China had been building massive military post in disputed waters and now this.

Hello Lindsy, wave hug hug One thing that has me wondering is, it was announced the drone was retrieving scientific data, if so what was the navy drone doing collecting scientific data, confused Shouldn t the science people have been doing that.confused Usually when navies, or armies are involved , the science research angle wears thin, just curious, dunno
Viking Son,handshake You have a valid point there, makes sense,
Hello there Scotty.

I was just reading the latest and it is not good.

CNN is reporting that China is resolved to return but when is not known.
Ito is not quite putting the puzzle altogether there Ito. One thing I know is that there must be a lot of them for whatever purpose it may serve but certainly scientific data for what is not quite the core of that, even common sense would rule that out.

I know that tension had been building up for quite sometime even before the election and it is easy to check it out because China has no reason to build a massive military outpost if they are not going to use it somehow.
I can see it all kicking off with USA which no doubt will involve us on your side against not only China but Russia too, couldnt happen at a worse time with change over of US Presidency,..........................
Viking I am aware that Trump since his possible winning of the RH, he already made it clear that with the trade structure between them is not good for the US. As a businessman he made it very forceful to straighten that out so that we are not on the losing end.

Note: China is the biggest IMF creditor and of course, US as the rest of the world are the debtors. From economic point of view, it is so lucrative for China and hence overplay its position on almost any contract, whether it is for economy or military.

If we go to war and China would be the vanquished of course, the loan will disappear given as a reparation.

What if it is a set up and of course China is responding in such a way that would lead to the expected build up of tension then it is anybody's guess.
Lindsy wave Massive military outposts are built for a specific reason. In todays world ,with its troubled times, another massive military post is definitely not good news, doh
If you look at the chronological events leading to the election Scotty, I am sure it can go back before the culmination of Trump winning the post. However as of the latest Asian Summit, Duterte was so forceful if not completely acting as an aggressor worthy of all the commands in representing that he is for China and Russia and in fact mentioned very arrogantly that three against US.

It might have been just a word in passing but it is very obvious at this time that it is the direction.

Russia is in opposite direction with us in Syria. We were at the longest war in the history of man in Afghanistan because of Russia, since 1979, and now this.

Well it might just as well be the real portal of World War 3.
I'd be more worried about Korea and the young nut their leader, biggest employer in the world is the Korean army,................
Well Russia couldnt defeat the Taliban, Russia supposedly hacked US systems to rig the voting,............
And if world war 3 is imminent then I prey its not nuclear,........................sigh
I agree with you Ito, look at the way China had been so arrogant and our biggest mistake is to underrate their goals. As of today, it was also reported their FIRST LIVE FIRE exercise from their navy.

Why for?
I can assure you that Russia could have probably defeated the Taliban had it not been with our intervention but it is not how it is going to happen in Syria.
Well after nine years of fighting they couldnt and withdrew,..............
I know, I said I fear for him, just hope its not nuclear, whats the point as there is no winner and end of life full stop,........................
Yes indeed and we are still there because of the possibility of them getting back when we leave.

Now on the nuclear possibility, even I can't overrule the idea that it wouldn't be so.

The world is so ripe in testing those technologies and I hope it wouldn't be the case but we are definitely going backwards Scotty.

It is very clear, we are heading into something humanity might regret we wouldn't have.
Should there be an outbreak of war, I'd go back to China grin
I am not sure where would be a safer for humanity Mimi but I hope you will always be safe as we all hope to be.

We can't second guess these things Mimi and it is very regrettable but man never learns.

How are you there? I am excited to hear your meeting by February. I kind know exactly how you feel. The closer you are to the date, the longer the days seem to pass by.bouquet
Hello again Lindsy, can't wait for February to come soon enough....he'd be here for 2 weeks....2 blissful weeks smitten smitten smitten

He has suggested I go visit him in Omaha next and I might just take up his offer...well, at least I know he won't sell me to one of those sweatshops once I'm there!! laugh
Mimi, I am so glad for you my dear lady. I would suggest you journalize all your days and you will be so happy reading them later.

And yes listen to your heart and I wouldn't be surprise how that offer can go a long ways...I hope..hug bouquet
Thanks Lindsy hug bouquet
Welcome. I wish you all the happiness you deserve my dear lady.cheers bouquet
From what I understand, China has already given the drone back. It was on an unclassified mission, and if so, I do not think there is much to it.
Durnate has told the US bi bi, over the aid that was promised the Philippians, and now the US is rebuilding the deal.
CNN, NY Times, NBC, ABC, NPR, and many others cannot be trusted to tell what is happening with out a twist. I do not even bother reading them any more. Other than to see what they are lying about.
The hacking of Russia into the US election has been rebuked.
What I find interesting, is the bunker in East Allepo. Seems that a bunch of military brass working for the UN were captured. USA, France, Brittan, Israel, and a lot of Saudis. Supporting Iss. They were trapped.
Pretty interesting. You wont read that in the news outlets. That just gave Russia the upper hand in negotiations.
Any how, the Democrats just can not seem to be able to remove their hands out of the tar baby any more.
It will be interesting how many other countries depart from the Globalist Agenda this coming 2017.
Hello there Cheav, I am not sure if that is already returned. I haven't secured the latest but if it is the case, it looks like just an insignificant act of something that doesn't need further speculations.

I will just want to see.

About the Philippines leaning towards Russia, I imagine the bid for monetary investment is a matter of who can give more. I don't see any closure between the US and Duterte while Obama is still sitting in the throne. But I can't wait as to what approach Trump will initiate when he is in power.
It will be interesting how Trump handles Durante. Most likely, seeing Trumps choices for the cabinet, I have a feeling they will be open to each other.
China I think will be the bigger threat than Russia. However, I have a feeling that our relationships will improve?
More of a gut feeling. Time will tell.
I'll boycott China and will stop eating Chinese and buy in their bazaars.moping

Sorry Lindsy couldn't resist. bouquet
Russian hacking...
To whatever extent it was done, it distracted Murkuns from paying attention to what Russia is doing in Syria & other places.

China probably swiped the drone to see what, if any, reaction it would raise.
They found out. They returned the drone.

It's not unusual for countries to be more adventurous near/during an Murkun transition of power...going back to the '50s. At least.

Mainland China is returning the drone (probably disassembled as is standard behavior for Russia, China and the US whenn returning things). The speed of the decision implies no technology new to China was found.
They may have wanted to undeniably bring the U.S. drones to the world's attention.
The U.S. doesn't have plausible deniability if China has a U.S. drone.

@Lindsay, based from what I read on the Phil side, the place where the drone was taken isn't an international water. It is within the Phil territory. And accdg to the Phil govt, they didn't know that an "oceanography research" was being done over there by the US. And accdg to some well meaning journalists, the Phils must lodged a protest against China. With Mr. Duterte leaning with China , I doubt if PI would protest.
these marine sample drones are really not what you think.

there is a lot of study about the kuro shio and tsunamis and marine life. There are only recently being deployed. they dive and resurface and send the data.
But a lot of scientific bouys are out there. it is a big ocean so i only encountered a few.

China is strengthening the navy, also because the USA is keeping a lot of bases there in the region.
On the Philippines, in example. At South Korea, they do a lot of exercises.

If Trump didn't tweet about it, it would have been normal ....
now all the world needs to get an opinion about things they don't know
Miclee you got it all right atleast Americans to create
one ..and get away with spending her citizens taxes/money

and loss of human beings as in defending the country. ..all in the

Name of greed
They haven't returned it yet Mic. I was watching the news today and so far none of that is done.
Now Mic, that is a very funny way to put it. But you probably know how the core of the Military works so, I am not going to argue with that.

US will have to set up a threat just to justify wars. The game of the rich and famous Mic.
Tatami, 56 miles west of the Ocean, is yes technically it is within the Philippines' territory and yes again you are right, Duterte being so pro China at the moment doubt would even do anything about it.
Leno, I imagine it is for the good of the people to know what is happening and not that Trump tweeted, it is pretty much on the news long before he mentioned it on his tweet.
Politics: I just saw how the Russian Ambassador been assassinated in Turkey. Not good at all. More drama I guess.moping
Hello Lukewave pretty sad indeed. How is your place of the world?
No shortage of tension in the world, isn't it. Hopefully none of it will blow up into something more serious.
