Just rather avoid them.....so we say....

Many of us group others by personal/group characteristics. It's pretty strong as a drive in most, if not all of us, and so it probably became ingrained genetically via Darwinian and other types of natural selection (olfactory, s*xual, aural, etc.) during even early prehuman evolution. It probably payed big time to recognize the "other" and take action before the guy down the hall could, no? For instance, Philippinos are perfectly wonderful folks. And their food and martial arts are world class. But while visiting family in paradise, and sitting within earshot of a group speaking Tagalog in anything but the softest tones, I have to leave. Just grates on me, as being neat=r cigarette smokers, or religious evangelists. "We know what God thinks and wants for us". Same with those click languages in south America and the dark continent. Call me honest, but perhaps intolerant. It seems to get worse with the years. Wish it got better. Aa.

Perhaps you have a low threshold for certain things... like you have described. I cannot stand the way Spanish people when in Ireland [I speak of the students ranging from 17 to 30 refuse to sit together but sit on opposite seats of the bus and shout in spanish to each other, it is a grating language. Sorry ! but to my ears, I find it rough to the ear. It is a personal thing. Ditto a large group of men sitting very close to me on our light rail here which I use alot which leaves you nearly on top of the person sitting opposite, when speaking loud and animated Arabic I really find myself screaming.

Certain people speaking Chinese [yes i realise it is not all the same] but it seems all are trying to speak together and don't wait for the other speaker to stop speaking before all chiming it... that grates on me as well.

I suppose If I was grouping I would tend to be toward the human who is more laid back, softly spoken, holds a conversation that is interesting in tone, not monitone but certainly not high pitched and animated all the time.

Perhaps my interest in Eurogenics is coming into play.doh
Thanks GG, and as ususal, you are spot on. I should have added to my blog something about how my many personal quirks irritate many. But please enlighten us on Eurogenics, if I'm spelling it OK. Aa.
