yea i agree wit u mate sometimes i send message to woman that i dont even fancy just liked there profile and wat they had to say but they judge the book 2 quick im very used to that but i did not expect to get that on line. ya know some men like a natter also if somethig comes out of a chat well and good if not at least you have made a mate

90% of the time i get at least a response like hello or something maybe its in what you are saying to them in that first message.

try the forums. Lots of nice people there. Dropping emails doesn't always work so well, it's hard to get across a personality with short sentences about the profile you've read.
And equally hard to start a convo based on a "Hi there."

Well i try to reply to people in and around my area too. but somtimes u just dont get the time to reply to all your mail. i suppose it all depends how much u get. Also iv found that some guys dont completely read all of your profile as i have on mine that im just looking for friendship and e mail pal etc but i get mail asking me out to dinner and the likes so if ur gonna contact a lady make sure u know whats she,s looking for and read all the profile first.

ha ha thanks for replying lads its nice to see all the opinions on it, controversial to gypsey soul but in fairness thats just my best mate and i thought it was a good idea to put up a photo showing us laughing at least it projects the fact that im a fun loving guy!! i suppose it all goes back to the old feeling that its the men who have to make the first move (seems like the women get inundated with mail!!) its very rare to see a girl send a message first and i reckon alot of guys on here would agree with me id think it would be pretty cool to get more texts off the girls first or is it still the old stereotype that men always make the first move??

well i was brought up to always let the man make the first move.old values i guess but nothing wrong with good old flirting tecniques to encourage whom ever tickes ur fancy.

I dont think people judge too fast by the cover. Because people dont think about you, they think about themselves...
As example- I put my profile to this site when I had just some extra time. And if I have time- I reply messages, if I dont- I dont reply.

I think most people don't honestly expect to meet a partner online, and that comes accross in how they act. I wouldnt take it too personally. Personally, i'm just using the forums now, a bit of craic to be had there, and have signed up for the latest meet in Dublin coming up the end of the month
