Global warming

Well, there was a huge parade or gathering or
what ever you want to call it in DC today.

Nobody can deny that global warming is happening.

The issue is who is to blame. Is it human activity
caused or is it a natural phenomenon or a comb
of both.

I know that some people don't want to hear about,
or talk about this.......so go read a different blog.

Anyway, regardless of the cause or causes, this
is happening.

The tree huggers want us to save the trees. Well,
too late. 90% of the trees are gone. It'll take a
big effort, lots of $ and more than 25 years to put
a dent in replacing them.

People say stop polluting.....well, we can't. We
need steel, energy, refrigeration, and as the planet
warms, air conditioning.

With northern climes melting, untold hidden carbon
is now being released as well. That's stuff we never
factored in before.

The vegetarians want us to stop eating meat because
the animals cause too much pollution. Well that
doesn't help either. Man started eating meat because
the animals could eat the sparse grasses that we
couldn't process, but then we could eat them. That
issue still exists. And transporting salad fixins' to
those areas creates more pollution than it might
save.

It's all pretty grim and dire.

The problem is too many people wanting too much
from this little blue/green ball floating in space.

Oh, and I'm a lot like a whole bunch of other folks. By
that I mean, You will not take the food off of my plate,
nor will erode any further my ability to live my life as
I choose.

But I'm up for any constructive solution oriented input
that might be put forward.

Viking if we go back in earths history the climate has changed since its begining.

I only hope people would clean up their waste, conservation for future generations all little helps for our grandkids say, but the change will occur no matter what we do that is a certainty in life.

They reckon if the smog up high was too totally clear we would have no protection from suns rays and we would fry.

As in life no happy mediummoping moping

Anyway reckon North Korea is going to hasten nature a whole lot.
Perfectly spot on, V man. Population. Once the standard of living gets high enough, birth rates, tend to drop on their own. Sometimes even below replacement values, as the Nipponese are learning. But human populations reach a point where only conflict and diseaaase can do the work. Subsaharan Africa is on it's way there. Doing the two timing belts on the vintage Wing today. Love the old bike. Aa.
Oh, and birth levels have already dropped below recovery level not only for the Nipponese but for Anglo Saxons - we're extinct already, it will just take a few more generations to complete the process, but it is now irreversible and our only long-term hope is to be adopted for breeding programs by aliens.

sigh
You got it Biff.......

And that's just the way it is.
