Pete Townshend & Jimi Hendrix

When J Hendrix arrived in London in 1966, P Townshend feared his guitar smashing days
were over. "Hendrix was the first man to walk all over my territory". Said Townshend.
"I felt incredibly intimidated".

While Townshend merely played his guitar in the conventional style, then smashed it to pieces
Hendrix played his behind his neck, with his teeth, then set fire to it.
