Give a little bit !
It's often said, that life is what you make of it.More than that, how we treat others is actually our legacy.
How we treat others affects them and
often how they also treat others.
These ripples of influence can have profound results over time.
Physics teaches us, that each action has a equal opposite reaction.
However, social sciences demonstrate chain reactions, often
recognized in trends or even mass hysteria.
Random acts of kindness can ultimately be magnified over time,
resulting in powerful positive change.
Sometimes karma even pays us and others back well.
Unfortunately, none of us gets out of life alive.
With all that as a preface, I'm asking you to give a little bit of yourself
in a good cause to help someone else.
It's really not too much to do. Indeed, it might bring YOU joy to do so.
Have you ever smiled at someone and saw them smile back ? :)
It's a good thing.
There's a little boy dying of a mitochondrial disease.
It is terminal. There is no cure. Eventually, it will kill him.
The disease robs him of his energy and one day his heart
and his life will succumb to it.
He might make it to his 15th birthday in August.
He has one wish. To receive 100,000 birthday cards before he dies.
Each one inspires him to hang in there a little it more.
His name is Jacob Priestley and his address is;
P.O. Box 855
Queen City, AZ 85142 USA
If you can find it within your heart and budget, send him a
birthday card with some kind words, like "thinking of you",
some encouraging words like, "Each day we wake up is a wonderful gift" a nice kids joke, or maybe a hand drawn
Star Wars scene, or something else a 14/15 year old boy might enjoy.
Here's the link for his story;
And here's the link for the song - 'Give a little bit'
Feel free to copy my blog and post it wherever you feel it might help.
Have a terrific Thursday !
