Smelling like a rose

Years ago when I was young, Best Beloved, there was a series of ads for a deodorant called Impulse. If you used it, the ad promised, handsome men would buy you flowers on, well, impulse. They'd run after you to give you the flowers. It was sweet.

Very fashionable nowadays to create your own perfume and promise women that they will enjoy a magical transformation. The fact I haven't eaten a proper meal in 20 years and work out 4 hours a day? Forget it. A dab of my new brand behind your ears and you will magically turn into me. batting

daydream

Today I took the dog for her walk and she found some fox droppings and before I could stop her was rolling around in the stuff, groaning with delight. She thinks she's the dog's dinner, right now. I think she stinks, even AFTER a wash-down.

Asking the men - do you like perfume on women? Strong, or just a faint fragrance? Old-fashioned and flowery scent, or bold and thrilling?

Because we spend a lot on the stuff, and sometimes I wonder if we might just as well be rolling in fox scat.

Best way to get smell off your dog, try Cif cream lemon. It will leave him with a nice frangrance and won't kill him.
Biff, a little dab of the good stuff, apparently lots of choices exist, before a week of alpine or desert off trail backpacking, has usually done it for me. If a stream or pool are encountered, OK to jump in to wash off the sweat. Just hold the soap. Not only for environmental reasons. Aa.
I've got my first flowers on CS. Most probably it's free here.
I have had expensive perfume------long ago grin but on one of my jaunts i did a trip off the coast of Tenby to an island run by monks.

Hundreds of years before their order had bought flowers over and p,lanted in the Island and they make pure perfume from those flowers. Cheap as chips as they say. It was the best perfume ever.

I had to go to docs for something or other and he sneezed the full time, he said i must have the pure essence of flowers on me.grin

I will go back to the Island for another bottle its good to make a doc sneeze now and again, roll eyes keeps him alert rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I like perfumes, subtle not overpowering ones wink

ALthough one of my favourites is a man's one. It is stronger than my normal ones so I put it on earlier than usual so it has turned subtle by the time I am going out.

Biff, Sorry I missed your blog last night, I was out until late.

My young dog also loves fox poo. She uses it like perfume (unless I get to her first!) in that she rubs her neck in it, just where we put on perfume.

I have discovered the only way of getting rid of it easily is with a special dog cleaning mitt that you can buy in pound shops. There is a lotion on it, and it works even better than washing!
A bit of nice perfume is better than heaps of cheap stuff. General cleanliness and soap smell is fine. People must become immune to it with age, sometimes older ladies can be a little generous with it.
Ish, my dog now officially hates you. Just sayin'. laugh and I wish I'd known about the dog mitt yesterday, Molly, I was actually in Pets R Us (or Pets At Home, or whatever it's called) tchah! frustrated
Tru - you hide your serious side so well - grin it's nice, I like it

Aa - do you use a handful of sand as a scrub in those wild waters? Top tip for tired toes laugh

Bloody - oh aye, I've had more virtual flowers and champagne and stuff in 3 years here than in my entire real life. Just not the same, is it? sigh grin

Red, your GP sneezing, GOOD. If you need an op at any point, though, eek, get a surgeon who isn't allergic wow laugh that does sound sooo exotic, perfume bottled by monks on an island .... mmm
Molly reunion hug bouquet

Biffffffffff!!! I have Red Door too, on standby!

Both perfumes were gifts from people who mean a lot to me.... wink
