Smelling like a rose
Years ago when I was young, Best Beloved, there was a series of ads for a deodorant called Impulse. If you used it, the ad promised, handsome men would buy you flowers on, well, impulse. They'd run after you to give you the flowers. It was sweet.Very fashionable nowadays to create your own perfume and promise women that they will enjoy a magical transformation. The fact I haven't eaten a proper meal in 20 years and work out 4 hours a day? Forget it. A dab of my new brand behind your ears and you will magically turn into me.
Today I took the dog for her walk and she found some fox droppings and before I could stop her was rolling around in the stuff, groaning with delight. She thinks she's the dog's dinner, right now. I think she stinks, even AFTER a wash-down.
Asking the men - do you like perfume on women? Strong, or just a faint fragrance? Old-fashioned and flowery scent, or bold and thrilling?
Because we spend a lot on the stuff, and sometimes I wonder if we might just as well be rolling in fox scat.

Hundreds of years before their order had bought flowers over and p,lanted in the Island and they make pure perfume from those flowers. Cheap as chips as they say. It was the best perfume ever.
I had to go to docs for something or other and he sneezed the full time, he said i must have the pure essence of flowers on me.
I will go back to the Island for another bottle its good to make a doc sneeze now and again, keeps him alert
Good old Brut. Hated the stuff. Old Spice, I still love
I've used Impulse during my teens. I've always loved perfume. Love love love Chanel Chance and Mademoiselle. Also Christian Dior's perfume like Ms Dior. Currently using J'adore Crazy for Bulgari's perfume too and not forgetting YSL Paris!
Love YSL Homme on Art....could sniff him the whole day!!
I like perfumes, subtle not overpowering ones
ALthough one of my favourites is a man's one. It is stronger than my normal ones so I put it on earlier than usual so it has turned subtle by the time I am going out.
Biff, Sorry I missed your blog last night, I was out until late.
My young dog also loves fox poo. She uses it like perfume (unless I get to her first!) in that she rubs her neck in it, just where we put on perfume.
I have discovered the only way of getting rid of it easily is with a special dog cleaning mitt that you can buy in pound shops. There is a lotion on it, and it works even better than washing!
Aa - do you use a handful of sand as a scrub in those wild waters? Top tip for tired toes
Bloody - oh aye, I've had more virtual flowers and champagne and stuff in 3 years here than in my entire real life. Just not the same, is it?
Red, your GP sneezing, GOOD. If you need an op at any point, though, eek, get a surgeon who isn't allergic that does sound sooo exotic, perfume bottled by monks on an island .... mmm
Biffffffffff!!! I have Red Door too, on standby!
Both perfumes were gifts from people who mean a lot to me....
P.S I keep my bottles of perfume in the fridge due to the heat here
