Improving Blog pages
Hello,As you are all aware, we launched new pages several months ago. It was an expensive design by a large well known company (PSD2HTML.com) that came with promises of being user friendly and responsive. Needless to say it turned out to be neither. :(
Soooo, we are working on new pages to replace them.
We are going to launch 1 page sometime today as a test... the All Blogs page.
Changes include:
-The main change is it's responsive so will look better on your cellphone, ipad or desktop
-We replaced the icons at the top of the table with buttons that make their purpose more obvious
-We made the background light gray to be easier on your eyes
-We made the entire cell clickable (instead of just the Blog Title in the blue link)
After we launch the page, we welcome your constructive feedback on this page as we work to improve the blog section.

If they could put the page numbers of the blogsite at the top as well as the bottom, it would help enormously.
Sometimes we just want to go straight to the last post, without all the scrolling.
Thanks
Thanks for the information.
When they have aggressive or misspelled headings into the bargain, it doesn't really sell the blogging facility to any new members joining CS. I know the huge variety was what attracted me when I first saw the blogs, and that there were so many people blogging. Now, you have to know to scroll down and know which bloggers are interesting / won't bite your head off / allow comments - that must put off some newbies, or make it look very cliquey.
Did they(PSD2HTML.com) give you money back?
So many blatant infringements that are allowed
sorry just haveing fun a bit
I would love to add pics on my blogs you know of cakes and animals etc, but the new way of adding pics is a pain, having to go to old blog and edit to add a pic to put on new blog hope i have explained that okay
Anyway this is free site and i love it better than fb etc for me that is.
It is my daily fix
Please use this blog for feedback and let us know if the page works on your device.
Notice the gallery icons in the upper right, to see different views of the page. Also, note an improved experience on mobile devices.
Mollybaby: the username in the "last comment" column is now a link to the last page and the last comment of that blog.
Seaworthy: unfortunately adding thumbs up/down has only led to arguments in the past and didn't work as intended
Bloodyawfull: no refund and refused any help. Their website uses a LasVegas address but turns out they're in the Ukraine.
Elegsabiff: we changed to a single table in the past because having 2 tables for "By Blog" and "By Blogger" was really confusing and many members couldn't find their blog after they posted it.
*After the last launch we changed the way the "All Blogs" page was sorted so that blogs with the latest comment would rise to the top of the list. But we received complaints that that brought older blogs to the top of the list (which we had thought would be a good idea because it brought different blogs into view all the time)... so we changed it back so that the most recently posted new blog would always appear on top.
-Which way do you like it best?
-How would you like to see the main "All Blogs" page sorted?
calmheartseeks: A primary photo of you is required because members want to see who they're communicating with, not a pic of an animal or cartoon. Also a real photo creates accountability and adds a more 'real' feeling to comment sections... like you're in a room talking to real people, not a page full of avatars, artwork, animals, etc.
Redex: We will address making photo upload easier when we get to that page.
Unlaoised: emoticons in mail were removed because misused, over used, and bogged down the mail.
thank you!
Newbies will just have to learn that because someone appears five times on the first screen doesn't mean they are five times better than others.
I like the new CS blogs layout.
It is best on the big tablet. I have been using all 3 on and off during the day.
Those blogs where individuals get down
low and expose their inner characters publicly
On here... it helps us to know these
Members deep not much as they pretend to cream
Coart themselves here..
So I prefer those kind of blogs not be deleted let us
learn what they are .
Thanks
Sometimes you think you know someone a little and then they say something way out the box, so reckon z has a point
Problem is the fake accounts otherwise
we would tell the true inner characters
they are.
Redex they are somethings that can be
done privately and those to show publicly.
