on my way home

Okay, this blog is about something I usually do not talk about but on my way home tonight I was listening to my Bible cd. conversing It got me thinking rather quickly when it spoke about how women are suppose to serve their men.

I could go on and on and on about the many examples here. I will just choose two.

Does feminism promote anti-religious behavior?

After all, the woman was created from Adam's rib and is suppose to be second to man. (Bible says)

and

The feminist movement has increased the divorce rate.

When listening to the Bible, it sure sounds like a lot of stuff that feminism does not support.

What do you think?

And Men are supposed to "serve their country" or what do you serve?
Johnny,
I was driving home early one Sunday morning through Bakersfield, California,
listening to gospel music on the radio station.
And the preacher said, "You know, you always have
my prayers and my church by your side"

And I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ran
twenty red lights in his honor.
Thank you Preacher, thank you.

Well, the Preacher kept right on saying that all I had to do was send
ten dollars to his church, in his name, of course,
located somewhere in Los Angeles, California.

And next week, they'd say a prayer for me on the radio
and all my dreams would come true.
(some words from the song "Far Away Eyes" by The Rolling Stones)

Then, when the Preacher took a break, this following song came on that radio station:

rolling on the floor laughing doh lob,.serve...tennis is in Ephesians.

Molly wow wow loved that and yes thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up
Molly, since I'm arranging this marriage thing you and Johnny have been planning - does this mean you're taking the obey out of love, honour and obey? Or will you both be saying it?

BTW Johnny you may not have been aware that you two are getting married in Spain fairly soon. Molly's occasionally forgetful, or might even have felt a bit shy about mentioning it.

I wouldn't mention it myself except that I'm not sure which of you is paying the deposit. grin
Hello Pro,

Very valid point.

However, feminism leaves the religious and loving man hanging high and dry.

Just to note....men should be loving and respectful to their wives. There is no question, the men who are not loving nor respectful do in fact exist. Thankfully, not all men are like that.

But feminism is a movement targeting the whole of the female gender.
Red....with how some men are, you might be doing the right choice. thumbs up

Molly,

You are right and have some valid points as well.

I would argue though that, up until modern times, we were a society primarily dominated and guided by the word of religion.

With feminism, that is shooting that way of living out of the water.

Therefore, standard religion does not fit into a society that is becoming more and more feminism dominate.

Is that a good thing. dunno

It it a bad thing. dunno

....but, it is a thing and is changing our way of lives.

I would safely say a religious and loving man stands no chance with a feminist.

Legs....I say this with all sincerity...Molly has some very beautiful and attractive traits to be desired by many. I love her intelligence and her grounded ness (she is very mature). thumbs up grin

Hello Sea,

Thank you for your comment.

The more I look at feminism, the more and more I see how it is changing society....and literally dragging men into it.

JOHNNY? What's happening to you? Are the feminists getting to you?

You didn't use one of these emojis -> cheers
in your reply to my comment.

What is going on in this world? doh

Robert....it is 4am in the morning here and I just kinda got in....long day, long night, long day.....etc. I literally had a window of about 10 minutes to respond earlier....

Sorry....cheers grin
Absolutely Molly. You are spot on. But I was just referring to what feminism is bringing to society.

There are other forms of living that exist outside of feminism....but the movement is growing.

As for myself...I think I have some mature boundaries....at least I hope I do. I think I can identify things that are outside of my comfort zone. But, I am 44...and have seen a little bit in life. I feel it might be the younger generation who might feel the brunt of the storm. However, it is prevalent in older generations as well. But...there are both good men and women still that exist....I guess good from my perspective anyway. thumbs up ....all is not lost. We just need to understand a bit, I think.

cheers grin
Molly, in the eyes of religion, that is pretty much what they are asking for.

For me personally, I think things should be as fair as possible...without one taking deliberate advantage of the other.
