Free-handed

As a young artist in New York City, what is this obsession with work being "free-handed". Honestly, most people don't get a chance to see the process of how each artist created their work. Nor are they educated enough to tell the difference. Though "free-handed", does show more skill, in my opinion, it's not always the most precise and time efficient. Nor does it affect the value of the piece. Besides, most people that complain or critique about work that isn't "free-handed", are you willing to pay more or even pay at all. If not, sit down and be humble
