Your Reason?

There was a reason you joined this site. What was it? To find love? To find friendship? To just read blogs? everyone has a reason..............................what's yours?

For me, I joined after two years of being on my own, I felt I was ready to start meeting people again. I needed these years to gain control of "myself" again after 15 years of marriage. I didn't want to take any baggage into a new relationship if I was to find another one. Am I ready? I don't know, haven't had the honor of meeting anybody yet. So far all I have met is scammers lol. But that doesn't deter me because you can never have too many friends either.............................

I joined CS cause in searching for something on Google.com CS showed up and so I decided to check things out and that was in 2010.

Since that day not a day goes why when I don't ask myself of why I'm still here 7 years later.

I joined this site because I was hoping to REALLY connect with someone - make that loving connection. I feel like this is just like every other site - it seems like everyone hides behind their computer screens and are afraid of any type of REAL human connection.
I ask myself does anyone REALLY find love on any of these sites?? Has anyone met their true love here??

Funny story -true story
Back then my country was under sanction so not much flow of information or chance to travel - I was searching on line ,how to connect my computer with the TV -most information were in English, my knowledge of English was very poor , so... I started typing -after checking in a dictionary the English word for connecting and boom Connecting singles came up ...I saw profiles of a bunch of Women and TA-DA ,8 Years later Im still here ...

I originally joined because I thought there may just be someone out there for me. A Soulmate, a long term relationship with some wonderful woman who would put a smile on my face and pep in my step. I have came to the conclusion that we get our kick at the can and that's it. I had a great relationship with the mother of my children while it lasted but There is no second chances at my age. I will not be in another meaningful relationship. I have put in my time on dating sites and this is not a spur of the moment conclusion. I am lucky enough to still have my children in my life and when they end up moving out and on with their own lives, I will be by myself.

I hear success stories from others and I congratulate them and encourage them to cherish this new relationship.

I seriously can't remember how I ended up on this site. I have to admit at first I just enjoyed looking at the girls and reading their profiles. That led to reading the blogs and forums. Many were interesting some made me a little angry and some made me laugh out load. There are some very witty people here and I'm hooked. I also like the gossip and the infighting. Trying to guess why some women and guys are saying cutting things directly at or using third parties to vent anger over past breakups or hidden agendas. It's like a soap opera and I enjoy the banter. The most important thing about this site is I met the most wonderful girl in the world. Her name is Mimi and she gave me a "rainbow." I am so very thankful for CS.
