Family.....

Important for many, especially if they are grounded and fun. But many of us have few close family. You see all sorts of preferences for characteristics here in searching for a partner. But how about their having a large, loving, fun, grounded, supportive family,..... perhaps to share with some who have few or none? A form of adoption? It does happen. Aa.

i think, if the family thing isn't easy to live with, distance makes the relationship closer. that is how i managed to avoid the conflict and focus on things less petty. for some, the relationship is so out of whack that i don't think anything will help.
I wonder how many people have families like you describe, Aa.

Maybe people can be family even though they are not related. Intentional communities are becoming popular.

I picture something similar as the idyllic family dinner scene, but the scene takes place on a coastal patio with a view of the ocean and its breezes gently caressing and cooling the laughing faces of the diners.
nice, Gypsy. when i visited my family, years ago, we went to some garden in LA. it was a very beautiful garden. it had segments that portrayed different styles and when one walked in it, you felt like you were in that country or time. there was a zen garden and a Japanese garden with walking trails.

In the Japanese garden, there was an outdoor tea room with a view of the koi pond. we had tea and almond cookies. i will never forget that day. it was wonderful.
