Unless he had a particularly bad barber
Molly, word on the street is that he didnt cut his own ear off after drinking large amounts of Absinthe, but did have an altercation with someone, The only witness was a Mrs. Ena Fenetra who was the subject of the fight.
I was not there (unless I have a very old mono brow profile pic)
Actually I thought it were common Knowledge that Van Gogh cut his own Ear off!
sorry just first quip that came into my head.
Long time no see, now we just need to see your etchings
Etchings are a bit old fashioned, I'm now into painting stick figures in caves using blood and ground up beetles for colour.
anyway i am no artist but copy a picture and trace onto wood then do the deed with different nibs. will be a good Winter hobby,
Then if you show me yours i will show you mine
I didn't even know there was a mystery about his ear. And by the way he didn't cut it ALL off. Just a chunk. Just sayin'
and where was the clue of his own madness? Was found in California. The doctor that treated Van Gogh ended up in California. There was found doctor's own drawing of Van Gogh's ear, the drawing shows his ear only his lobe survived the cut. Today that drawing or a copy is part of Van Gogh Museum.
This was the work of author Bernadette Murphy, took her 7 years of her investigation and to solved that mystery.
Her book is called. Van Gogh's Ear. 2016
