One place I enjoy playing the getting older, and getting forgetful card is ,when I m out and about and come across someone I don t care to talk to is just ignore them, and claim memory loss from getting older, rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing It sure saves time getting involved in stupid conversation, ( I may be crazy ,not stupid, rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing )
The playing old card works as a good excuse when making weird grunting sounds getting up off the sofa!
well you started the stupid conversation. I'm following. tell me more stupid jokes
I don't think I have confused but I may have forgotten, I'm getting older you know professor laugh
I lost name and face recognition to a series of TIAs following heart surgery. I don't even try to remember names anymore. The irony here is I had photographic memory.

Hi 1to1. .hug

For me no card seems to work!

I have to get up to give my seat to elderly people.

I've recently been accused of breaking a fence although I have arthritis in my fingers.

I'm not allowed to be ill and supposed to live forever.

I'm supposed to jump fences and run marathons.

I'm not supposed to be tired and should stay up all night to talk to people.

What a hard life getting old! frustrated laugh

One of the benefits to getting older is a person qualifies for seniors days, meals, and ticket discounts....
I'm in the middle of a really complicated move and struggling with being organized, I really was beginning to think maybe it was an age thing and then I found an old letter I faxed to my sister 17 years ago shortly before my really complicated move to the UK and I was ranting that I was completely disorganized and would never be ready in time -

We use age as an excuse but unless it brings real problems with it, we are self-defeating scold I refuse to use age as an excuse and get quite irritated when people say some issue I'm having is age-related. dunno I've ALWAYS been a useless dingbat.
1to,

I never have to play the getting old card cause I already know that I'm old.
not yet 1to1 i am still trying to see my way through adolesence grin banana banana thats my excuse laugh laugh
Benign senile forgetfulness.....best we can tell, the emphasis is on benign. Not looking like early dementia. For me, it's been occasional struggles with word finding and rarely retrieving other long established memories. Other memories and cognition seem fine. The alphabet game usually lands me on what's missing. So, probably not to worry, but perhaps with all that cold in the great white north..... ;--)) Aa.
Good morning Oney, I just love the way Nam calls you so I will use it with his permission, wave
Anyways, no I dont and can't use it. First no one believes my age. Second I'm too bad at awkward moment's and act on it.

Anyways nice to see you. Fall is showing up early at my place. Flying back to California this weekend to feel more of summer. wine
