World Hole Day

Holes have been a part of our lives since life began, from humble cave dwellings Man (and women) have embraced these natural or man (or women) made orifices.

From gashes in the sides of hills to those plunging deep into mother earth no hole is the same, each one is individual and in my opinion a work of art, dark, moist and sometimes humid, holes can be glorious, holes can be scary too.

The Romans used a lot of holes, they joined them together to make aqueducts and for sanitary and unsanitary products.

Some of you live in big cities, daily you enter these cavities and enter transport via dark passages, emerging from another hole, perhaps as its Sunday you are travelling to a holy place to make yourself feel whole.

All creatures on earth and beyond have holes, we use them to shovel food inside ourselves, we use them to breathe, we expel our waste from them and of course we have a lot of sensual fun with them, often creating little babies that enter our world through a hole. When we die they chuck us in a hole.

All of you are using something with a hole in it, a wine bottle, a cup of coffee, tin of soda or even a ketchup bottle. You are alive as you breathe through one right now, you hear through a hole, maybe you are eating one right now, most of us have lived with or live with an a**hole.

We use and abuse holes, sometimes we worship them, but they are always there for us, we don’t often say thank you to these wonderful , so today is a celebration of all things with holes, today is World Hole Day.

Join me and celebrate the hole, on this day of the holes.

so yes i celebrate this holey day with you bowing hole laugh laugh
Holes are deceptive.
The more R's you put into one they don't get full they just become bigger R's holes
head banger
Red, Digging yourself into a hole here is easy, digging your way out relies on a very sharp digging tool, we have these in our mouth holes called a tongue.
well apparently my tongue be sharp to be bluntlaugh laugh
Mr.Blue, thats absolutely correct, some holes are full of bad R's, dark deceptive places of the mind that bring joy to the makers.
Talking about holes, grin what do you make of the hole in a dough--nutlaugh
Red, Ive not followed what has transpired here, but some holes are very shallow and deceiving, be careful putting your sharp tongue inside one of these holes, some have teeth inside them.

But, mouth holes can be stretched into a smiling shape, its all you can do in these troubled times.
Map my new learning hobbie is extraction of teeth. Painful my first few but practice makes perfecto, some of those teeth are rotten to the core so i will not exctract using my newly learnt skill i will leave them in purgatoryrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
I have a hole.
I have several in fact. But one is the favourite.

Others always want to enter it. But only the chosen few have ever been invited in.

I'm not too sure of the attraction. I love it because it is mine, but why others are so intent on gaining entrance i will never know.

Maybe because it is small and cosy, and they feel secure in there.
It is quite a tight fit but i have never heard a complaint from any of the invited guests. Indeed they always want to return there, again and again.

Even those who have moved on to greener pastures still contact me hankering for a return visit.

Either way, it will always be my hole. My private space down there.

I discovered it when i was quite young, but was older before i took full advantage of it.

That hole down there i love with all my heart.
That cave which had once been covered in bush, but i since cleared it for easier access.

Yes, the cave at the end of the garden i discovered when i was 5 and has been my secret place ever since.
now i see holes everywhere.
Molly
Sounds like there must of been quite an amout of overgrowth at the entrance to your private cave.

I do agree Map
Holes are everything and quite adaptable. They can be made bigger or smaller without to much trouble and sometimes all by themselved.
Molly, Im glad you embrace the hole, having one that you enjoy and others would kill to enter is a wonderful thing.

Its yours, and its part of you, keep it in good working order with daily inspections, and Bush is optional in these days of freedom. hug
Free, Happy World hole day, Yes I would think that now you are more aware of the humble hole you will see them everywhere, greet them like old friends, tell them your fabulous stories, show them you care.
Molly is that the whole story and nothing but cheering cheering i loved your fun writing applause

Its a holy business these holes, i even have seen holes in stories and blogs that need covering in muck spreadinglaugh laugh
User, Id say that Mollys bush and bushyness is a private matter!

Yes, I see you know that holes are adaptable, its often said that "one size fits all", true in many respects, in others not so much.

Pat, I see you are in the spirit of the hole, songs about holes are quite rare.
The thing is, I got quite excited hearing Molly talking about her hole. The kicker is, its in the back yard.
Red, Yes, Mollys story of her hole gave me goosebumps and made me rather light headed.

As its World hole day, let leave the unholy members of this establishment to themselves, they may not have feelings but they do have holes, and will see holes that may help them on their journey through life.
Songs?

I saw the hole of the moon

Make me hole again

A hole half dug is still a hole, digging deeper doesnt change what it is, but care should be taken as if its too deep you may never withdraw from its dark trap.professor
