Why do we say "the truth will set you free" ?
And yet when you tell someone the truth they prefer to hear a big fat lie?

I thought is was awful If I had gone with her I would have suggested a different dress.
She was obvious so very taken with her choice, big smile and proud of her choice. and
I could not tell her what I thought of the dress.......I lied.........

The problem with when you tell a LIE you have to have a great memory

Free, that is THE question. How many can dish it out but can't take it....like at all
The saying itself is based on the fact that knowing the truth will set you free from illusion...
And then your own realty becomes a lie...
Would it not be better to at least read a couple of others before you decide
Yes only those who seek the truth can see the truth
And religion has blinded and corrupted many...
Every conflict through history has been over religious differences
But everyone likes to beat their own drum and dance to their own song

More correctly i should have said that the truth only sets those free who accept it. But you are right, got to seek it else how would you even know what it is. And the way to do that is regular self reflection.
