EGGS

So here's the deal- if you buy your eggs in a carton, do you use them all from one end towards the other, or do you use them from both ends of the carton to keep the weight balanced? Nothing shits me as badly as when you pick up an egg carton, and all the weight is at one end. Why must these morons do this? Cant they see how dangerous it is using them this way as somebody not prepared for it could easily drop them.

...I don`t get it...? are they just half when you buy them...?dunno
Pat, i don't know what to say...i'm guilty moping
Pat, Use them from the middle, perhaps place the carton on a set of scales and add ballast in the form of salt to equalise the carton and avoid messy and inconsiderate breakages.

Lucky for me they are sold here loose and chucked in a plastic bag, one tends to be more careful that way.
Would you balance all your knives on the edge of the bench, where they could easily fall and cause a serious accident? No. So why do you insist on taking unnecessary risks with the eggs? And, why aren't more people blogging about this kind of thing? I'd say the government is trying to cover it up.
Pat,

If you had more chickens, your problem would be solved.
I get mine straight from chickens rolling on the floor laughing

It's a miracle this blog hasn't been deleted, this sort of in-depth questioning is discouraged from the top, the very top, of international issues.

You are a very brave man. I salute you. tip hat
My method is guaranteed 100% safe professor I leave them on the supermarket shelf where they belong dancing
I usually wash my eggs, get rid of floaters and just put them in the fridge, when I use them, I start from the larger oneslaugh
only a nutter washes eggs
I make out a risk assessment every time I buy a carton of eggs.

Usually it is medium-high risk.

But sometimes I can reduce it to low-medium.
Egg-cellent Blog Pat beer

I write the days of the week on the large end of my eggs, Place them in egg cups, mix up the order and then every day have a game of Three-egg Monte.

if I get the right egg matching the day of the week applause I will have another go at asking the lady at the supermarket checkout if she would like to see my yoke cool
I have 12 baskets. That way, when I buy eggs I dont have to put them all in one basket. To make it more interesting, I get really wasted and hide them around the house.
Patnips I buy 2 pkts of 6 at a time, Solves the problem.
emmy1: Ms.Emmy...are eggs straight from the hen better in every way than the Egglands Best that I purchase?

Yes very fresh, not sitting in factories for weeks, let them in the garden during the day eating all the slugs and insects then locked up at night, foxes. The yolks are really yellow. Nothing nicer than watching them run to you when they know you have a street for them. They go bonkers for snails and prawns.
Sorry treat not street
emmy1: Thank you for the feedback Bonita!
