Keeping your brain busy helps ward of dementia...like doing a crosswords puzzle...lifelong learning...like what CC said...
Technically I was 13 years old as school goes out in June,
In September I became 14 and in October I went to work full time, 44 hours a week.
Today you can't work until you are 16 years old.
I have found that some people are good at somethings but are not so good at other things.
I worked it the office of a small department store and I cashed the checks for the rail roaders.
They than had to pay their bill as they could not tell me that they did not have the money,
Every two weeks the accountant would check the books.
It made me nervous and told him this. If I made a mistake on day one, we have to go back almost two weeks
to find the error.
I asked him how do banks do it? He told me that they balance everyday.
Ah well than we will balance everyday too.
I used simple common sense it has got me far...........
There is a big difference between those 2 words.. I know many people who are intelligent and never had a proper education and vice versa.
Although both involve knowledge, intelligence is an innate and natural ability that we are born with and education is what helps us to develop this natural intelligence in different ways.
I asked always a lot of questions was never afraid to ask.
Read good books and subconciously, I think, often had friends who were inteligent, always learned something..

Hey folks... I graduated High School and obviously was able to learn (educated) a little. My true education and intellect came from being coy...being a quiet person enabled me to LISTEN and LEARN. That in fact was conducive to further education and intelligence. Someone touched on book smarts and life smarts, both important. To reiterate...I think life and listening can be as educational and significant as college (In some respect). Just saying...not being pretentious.
