life.......battery......yin/yang
Reading further about Eastern Mysticism, I am at the section speaking about the Chinese and the yin and the yang. The symbol that represents it is very enlightening. The full circle, if you will (cyclical motion)...the interconnected of everything in the universe, the polar opposites...with each leading into the other, the necessity of each existing for the universe to be.I have thought of it as like a single cell battery.
They say the yang (white) represents man, while the dark represents female. The polar opposites. So many differences between man and woman, not one is better or worse than the other.
But, like the battery with its positive and negative poles. In order for the usefulness and the life of the battery to exist, both poles must be used.
So, for humans, both poles must be used....for life and usefulness. The man being rational and the woman intuitive. ....together...they make....
This from the Chinese, dating back thousands of years.
We are suppose to be different.
just some thoughts.....
Of course, the yin and yang represents more than just man and woman...but everything with opposite poles.

As far as intuitive and rational, I think that would be a generalization because I have seen both genders share both of these traits and the opposite traits. You are right, you are a very rational woman.... ....I wonder how intuitive you are. Let's test that molly, what am I doing right now? Drinking coffee...you are right.
Initially I thought the answer to your questions is "nothing."
but then later, I got a different answer "diarhea."
I think men are often more intuitive than women
More intuitive than me anyway
i think I will stick with the rational
The book I am reading is called the Tao of Physics. He is actually linking science with eastern mysticism, and pointing out the amazing similarities between the two. When breaking down matter to the quantum physics level, they are discovering that particles are nothing on their own...but need to interact with an opposing force in order to create matter. This opposing force, at least where quantum physics is right now, has a movement of its own...for example, a counter force to an electron.
So, this scientist/author recognized the same pattern in eastern mysticism that was written thousands of years ago.
I getting knowledge of two things in one book. .....well, getting my feet wet anyway.
I think the society that we have built for ourselves benefits the rational thinking mind moreso than the intuitive one. So, to stick to rational....at least today, is not a bad thing I would say.
I knew you knew I was drinking coffee...maybe I am intuitive. Or, maybe I knew you might have read my response to Map.
So...the Yin and Yang is the answer Usha. It might be time they update their symbol to a couple of different forms of other fluids.
Don't take anything I say too seriously. I am a monkey. I can't be serious about anything. Unless of course when I have to be.
I said fluid is because nothing is fixed. You can be the most rational man or most irrational person in different circumstances.
Don't take anything too seriously. Anything can come with a lifetime guarantee, but no one has a guarantee of life itself. Live, laugh, love and be kind. Life is that simple.
Enjoy your weekend!
I do agree about just living. But....out of curiosity you know. I was watching the Pirates of Caribbean last night, and I got a chuckle out of this statement....because it fits perfectly here. So you are trying to say you are lying to me by telling the truth.
