Anyone who watched Friends has known all about this for yonks, Joey got ordained to marry off Phoebe, if I remember rightly. At the time I wondered if I should look into saving souls myself, I have very decided ideas on how my happy congregation should live their lives to achieve Nirvana, but then I decided I can barely run my own life, taking on the responsibility of running the lives of others might be a bridge too far.
