Meeting EU friends in Lisbon....

Surprised how EU folks seem to like the place. Moreso the South, actually. Really not as exciting as other parts of the EU. Exciting isn't always a top feature of interest for some. Funny how that works. Maine is a little boring, but I choose it over many other places as a base of living/travel operations. Perhaps Portugal will serve the same purpose for me on the Continent. Aa.

AA, so are you meeting with some members in Lisbon?
By the way, with all my travels of the world, California to me, offers the best in everything. From dry summers to below zero temperature (Lassen Park to Tahoe) and the most diversified cultures, just visit China Town and you know what I mean.
Nah, if anything it got weirder AA. However, you have to commend the fact that tolerance is high here for all sorts of weird stuff.

It is lovely when it comes to weather. Lots of mountains, lots of rivers and lakes, and the ocean. I don't think I can live long in a place where the ocean is too far away. Where I live, near San Francisco, three hours drive to the snow (most awesome highway 80 or 50 in the Sierra) one hour to the beautiful Bodega bay and one hour to the beautiful Lake county. We have the most wonderful Alexander Valley much of the South of France, now deemed as the wine capital of the world. We have the hoolyweird for movies and we have the silicon valley. Complete really.

Salinas is not much of a place for me compared to the South part. Morro bay and down to the Malibu area...wave
Well, L J. I think I get the gist of your politics, so I'm glad you mention the weirdness, beginning with the moon bat Gov. It is a beautiful state. But the minorities scene is a bit much for me. I'm sure you can choose a place there where cars aren't up on blocks, and loud Cholo music isn't blaring all the time. Like Wyoming, Maine has the smallest minority population in the union. Extirpate diversity. Aa.
PS, also did clinical student rotations in Stockton and Modesto. All were OK while there, long ago. Different now. Lots of experience with trauma! Aa.
