Proverbs 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Proverbs 19:29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Jude 18:1 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Greek=empaíktes – a scoffer (mocker).

SCOFF'ER, n. One who scoffs; one that mocks, derides or reproaches in the language of contempt; a scorner.





2 Peter 3:2-4

2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Jude 17-19

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
