Gender Equality
Can I tell you ladies a little secret? You had it all along and did not even know it. Have you noticed how few men will still offer their seats to a lady on a full bus or a train these days? Some people may interpret it as bad manners but that’s not true. They are merely acknowledging your equal status. Beware of those who offer their seats; they are the chauvinists who still think that they are superior to women. If you still feel that you’re being dealt short, maybe we should change genders for a while but please not while you are pregnant or menstruating; that would be unfair.
So while you are me and I am you, see that you shave every morning… and every night before you come to bed. Your beard scratches me. I’M NOT UPSET!!! Brother, am I going to enjoy yelling at you, and my colleagues, and everybody else without having to apologize? This PMS thing is such a handy thingymabob.
Not now; the children will hear us.
I see the lawn also needs mowing… and fix that bloody gutter that you have been nagging me about for the last six months. And I’m not crying; I’m pissing through my eyes.
NOT NOW; I have headache.
No, I’m not done yet; see that you come home straight from work and this Bingo business on Wednesday nights is bullshìt. PUT THAT TOILET SEAT DOWN!!! Are you listening to me? I’m talking to you. You don’t love me anymore; When last did you give me ? I’m going back to my mother.
Not now; I’m tired.
Then I did not even explore other possibilities like s*xual harassment when I don't like somebody. Boy, I’m going to have a ball. But then it probably won’t last for much longer before you’re going to insist on swapping back because you have discovered that it is not that easy to be a man
Not now. I’m … eh… eh… I don’t know what... but not now.
So, if you ladies want to be on top, be my guest and get on with it. It’s less work for us at the bottom. Oh shìt, last night while I was you, I forgot to take your pill.
Well my dear, do you still want gender equality? Of course you can have it but you will not be very smart to accept it. I would never surrender the upper hand if I had it.
I'll see ya as soon as it's safe again.

They call nagging these days " venting". But please do this with
Equality e.g. all the while eating ice cream.
Do we presume then that women do not have back problems?
actually, my sister has back problems.
pick up a car? it would depend on what kind of a car. I suppose one can get tired of picking up the children's toys, though that would hardly merit using two hands.
I'd be very reluctant to engage in a verbal exchange with somebody 'venting' with an Ice cream in one hand. Much as I like ice cream, I don't think I will appreciate it all over my face.
Come to think of it, I will have to buy more ice cream. I have some venting to do.
loosen the lug nutz too.
Have not seen you here for a while. I thought you were also upset with me about my 'nightmare Anti-American' blog.
For what it's worth, i cannot agree with maternity leave; at least not until men gets the same number of days. And it should include babies born out of wedlock as well as babies born due to extra-marital activities. I mean, what is good for the one is good for the other.
HAIL YEAH!.........
Most Females Can. With or without having back problems.........
Bob
Al ssh!......
If that is so, I wonder why it is the second most popular excuse after headache.
Not now, my back pains.
Elaborate more on what you think gender equality is. Remember, you cannot want what you already have.
You cannot ask for what you already have. So what else remains to be desired?
But would you mind putting mine on your tab. #tax writeoff
My personal thoughts are, that the genders can never be totally equal as they are built differently and built differently for different functions.
But that doesn't mean there should be discrimination against either because of those differences.
Women have to have the babies. They are responsible for the continuation of the species and therefore are more important biologically to humankind in general.
As women have to have the babies, and babies and children need to be nurtured, women should be able to spend enough time with them when they are small. But they should not be discriminated against in the workplace because of this. Women are constantly being passed over for promotion simply because they had to take that time out to make sure the next generation grows up to be complete human beings.
The same when children get sick at school and have to be taken home. The working place should be more flexible to allow mothers, or fathers, to care for their sick children and not to be discriminated against.
Men are built stronger than women, and usually do the more physical work. If they do this, they should be given shorter working hours and longer annual leave to recover from it.
Men should have equal access to their children if there is a separation or divorce. Kids need their dads as much as their mothers especially when they are growing up. Children should never be used as pawns to hurt the father, and the legal system should not allow it to happen.
As I say, those are just a few examples...I could go on.
Anyways, I was just too busy doing so many things lately, imagine having 7 grand children Cat and shopping for all of them.
But anyways, the maternity leave is something new here, it was voted for about 10 years ago and some kine of nice because it gives the couple a time to be ready for the delivery..
You must come to South-Africa immediately to join the presidential election campaign. I can guarantee you at least one vote; MINE!
If that was your short version, I'd love to see the whole works.
Yes, of course. It is shopping time.
There were some talks about maternity leave for men here to but I don't know it it is law yet. I have lost interest in our legislative process. Everything is either steamrolled or stonewalled.
At the same time they proposed maternity leave for scholars which is now a reality.
this is getting very technical. I think we'll have to accept that until we can develop babies economically in labs, women will have to carry that burden; as molly so rightly said, the reproduction of our species is paramount.
And thanks for your contributions
Before I bore children,as a teenager I realized what the
World had to offer,if you dream and work towards those goals.
As a woman of child bearing age I watched other women either
bear children,lose a child , abort a child,adopt,chose not to
or medically struggle to conceive. It was irrelevant to equality
or worth as a woman.
I would be living a lie.Even if I was married and have 10 children it wouldn't elevate my
status or equality.( Or their father)
To me it is a blessing. Not what feminists would regard it as,I guess.I never sought a nickel
more from the father, govt or controlled his rights.
We can only hope that education will improve things but the problem is that the same things interferes with education. A dog chasing his own tail.
I don't know if I understand what you're trying to say but if I do, why do you say that? Or alternatively, can you rephrase your statement?
And never will.

Yes, but childbirth is an inescapable fact of life. If it is abolished our species will be doomed within a hundred years. And as men cannot bear children and women cannot fertilize each other, we need to respect and accommodate each other. And also realize that we need each other. Not just to reproduce but in all aspects of life. If any gender should suddenly disappear from the face of the planet, we're doomed just the same.
and thanks for your contribution as well.
I had to cut it short when my Yorky walked in here.
what I still meant to add is that I seldom use public transport but when I do I'll gladly give my seat to a pregnant woman; or any frail older person; actually, to anybody with a handicap or an injury. i think it is our duty. It's like to give way half a step to the side when somebody approaches from the front on a narrow pathway. It my duty as a fellow human. If he does not give way as well, I'll gladly give way another half step. That is not my duty; it is my privilege as having better manners.
It should. After all, a few ladies were my scriptwriters.
In this case money talks the loudest. You are the customer with the money in the hand. If he cannot or do not want to do it your way, get another contractor.
