Global Warming Is Probably A Farce
I believe it is just another conspiracy to keep people in jobs. Everything is exaggerated for the sake of sensation and organizations like Green Peace cash in on it by thriving on the people’s fears. We only have data for less than 200 years and now some people want to create panic by applying a few years worth of data to the entire history of Earth. It’s like as if you can paint the whole picture by picking up one tiny piece of a giant jigsaw puzzle.
Yes, it is a fact that the planet’s mean temperature is rising by about one tenth of a degree Centigrade per century but that is to be expected. After all, we are coming out of an ice age. It is also true that places with a higher population density had a steeper increase in temperature than the norm but other areas have gone colder. We don’t even know if the rate of warming is increasing or decreasing.
Now they concentrate on those places that are getting warmer while ignoring the places going colder and bombard us with selective statistics. By using a different set of statistics it will be just as easy to proof the Earth is in fact cooling down. For all we know, we may be having cycles, spanning several centuries, of rising and dropping temperatures.
Okay, so the mean temperature of Earth is rising very slowly but we don’t know how much of that is caused by man. Astronomers say that every planet in our solar system is warming up to the same degree. So, are we responsible for that too; or do we blame the Martians and the Saturnians for that? There is just is not enough data to prove anything.
Our few factories and car exhausts are farting against thunder when compared to nature’s own pollution. A single volcano eruption can cause more heat, pollution and environmental damage in one week than all of mankind can do in years. Yet, Mother Earth coped with it every time.
Yes, I agree, we should be responsible and we should prevent pollution wherever we can but there is no reason to inflate figures or to brainwash us with selected data to proof something that is not certain at all.
Have a great day.

My connectivity is to bad now to look at videos, I'll look at it later
Mimi, was your wedding one of those Indian ones with the fabulous 'Bollywood' style dancing?
I don't just look at one set of data and hide the other.
I'm not trying to prove or convince anybody of anything. I just think the whole issue of global warming is pulled out of context.
Not, I, nor you or anybody can conclusively proof anything.
All I know is that I read hundreds of articles and based my opinion on that.
Remember, we are not a science community.
we're all striving (or should be striving) to a cleaner planet. that is not debatable. How we do it is another matter. There we differ and that is good. in that way we find solutions.
I will look it up for sure
I enjoyed your read much more than the other fella. I don't know who put a bee in his bonnet. I think I know who he is. Leopards may change of...lets leave it there.
I've just workout who TR is. did not take long to show color.
I watched the 2nd Exotic Marigold Hotel film recently, and the clothes and dancing at the wedding were just fabulous
But I do agree with him about peer-reviewed documents being more believable
Why don't you nab yourself a tall and handsome Indian man and you can have that kind of dream wedding
As I said, I stated my opinion and i stand by that.
You told me that you don't agree, as molly did too. you're welcome to your opinions. I cannot argue your points. If you so strongly about it then provide us with good sample data for the past few billion years and convince me. It's no good standing here finding fault without any proof.
I still stand that global heating is out of context and you can do with that whatever you want. It was not my intentions to convince you or anybody else, so i don't know why you're making such an issue about it.
or am I not entitled to my own opinion?
You have a habit of making me inquisitive and then suddenly dry up. We cannot go on like this. You'll have to concede with little tidbits from time to time.
I'm not disputing pollution and/or climatic changes. I sat that Global heating is pulled out of context. I fully support going green. No problem with that.
Nope!
Gotta go! My Arty is waiting for his MiMi on Skype!
Me go remain not married
Is it not strange? When you want meat, you go to a butcher and when you want beer you go to a off sales.
Now why on earth would you go to a dating site to obtain scientific articles?
The way I understand it we are allowed to express our opinions in these blogs and I did just that. If you don't agree with that I cannot help. And I am no longer going to try to justify my opinion. I am entitled to it as you are entitle to yours. As you have stated yours several times now I fail to see how it can serve any further purpose.
.
As I said earlieron, I don't know to what degree humans are responsible for Global Heating. with the lack of reliable data, it all guess work.
You could equate CS with a supermarket
It stocks a little bit of everything, but specialises in none
Your opinion doesn't count if you make stuff up, cat.
I'm out.
Yes, it seems that some areas are warming and some areas are dropping. We have a lot of extremes lately.
You mentioned we have data for less than 200 yrs, now we can have updates on weather from around the world in minutes. The media always dwells upon extreme weather events, never the good weather days, It makes me wonder are our extreme weather events, just part of the norm, or the so called Global warming,
that is more or less what I believe. Unfortunately we don't have data to prove or to disprove it.
What's the ONE conclusion ALL researchers arrive at...every time?
MORE RESEARCH IS VITALLY NEEDED!
Money MUST be provided! Immediately!!
Gee.
No one could've seen THAT coming, eh?!
"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it."
- Albert Einstein
Sorry, I missed your comment with the change to a new page.
I could not have said it better. After all, everything here is just opinion.
I know this is serious but I giggled aloud when I read your comment. this is exactly how it is. And show me a scientist who will write a paper that is going to dry up his resources..
this is why times of war bring so many new inventions. simply because government provide the money and set specific areas of research.
but it is indeed a pity that science has to pay it's way. if they had unlimited resources it would have been a different world.
The Medieval Warm Period is well documented in history and corroborated by archeological ruins in Greenland.
I've brought that up to climate alarmists.
They denied it.
Yes. Really!
History Deniers!
So.
We're supposed to disregard history and the actual existence of physical ruins...
and base global policy-making on computer models?
On one thing I'm sure we can ALL agree...
MORE RESEARCH (read funding) IS REQUIRED! IMMEDIATELY!
WE MUST SAVE THE PLANET...and the jobs of researchers.
Funny I read about those Vikings settling there just the other day. Apparently some of their building were still there and were restored and incorporated in a national park where visitors can sleep over.
And we have the same weather patterns here. We have cycles of warmer/cooler weather here and also dry/wet cycles. Not across the entire country but more regional. As it is we are in a dry cycle in the Western Cape.We have very strict water restrictions at the moment.
To your point about the money I agree, and not only money spent on this but look at our space program look at the money spent to see if there is this or that on this planet or that planet, Geese who cares.
It would be nice if this money that is spent foolishly would go to maybe feed, cloth and educate a child. This would make more sense to me
Yes, we don't know who is right about this though I must tell you that I believe there is place for space exploration. It it was not for the early explorers we would have been stuck at some other place. but educating our children is more important. it should not be neglected.
anyway i checked your link. interesting. funny though that the warm and cold cycles varied in length substantially. no way to predict a turnabout.
I wonder what is the Chinese budget for scientific research. Larger than the budget for Industrial Espionage?
Not sure if Global Warming is to blame for the snow falls in the Sahara desert for third time in 40 years but it sure is weird.
It may also be shrinking.
And GREENING...
If this is due to Global Warming, it might be the best thing to happen to Africa in a thousand years!
Not sure who is one can believe these days
