Sancho Panza, Don Quixote’s squire in the novel Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, a short, pot-bellied peasant whose gross appetite, common sense, and vulgar wit serve as a foil to the mad idealism of his master. He is famous for his many pertinent proverbs. Cervantes used the psychological differences between the two characters to explore the conflict between the ideal and the real and based much of his novel’s narrative development on their personal relationship.
Ah so Lou De Lou knows him as well
Nope haven't heard of himdunno was he Pauncho Via s palconfused
People actually read Don Quixote? Our English teacher warned us it was as dull and boring as an Emily Bronte or S. Fitzgeral novel and reviews I read seemed to agree. I avoided it and went for Heinlein's Friday instead. "He was following me, so I killed him."

And so begins the woman's story. One must love a woman who thinks that way. laugh
I read it when I was in the 9th grade and found it very interesting. If my memory serves me right it is part of the Harvard Classics but this could be wrong. I loved the contrast between the two characters and Sancho's simple wit in dealing the whims of his eccentric master.
