NY Prosecutors raid Trump's personal lawyer's office & hotel room

The warrants were approved by Trump's own Department of Justice, not Mueller.

However, if NY finds anything relevant to Muller's case against Trump, it will be turned over and used by Mueller as evidence.

Near the end of that NY Times article about Cohen, Trump's attorney;

A Long Island native, Mr. Cohen began his career as a personal injury lawyer and taxi fleet manager. He joined the Trump Organization in 2006. He attracted attention in the Russia investigation after emails showed that a business associate of Mr. Trump, Felix Sater, pitched Mr. Cohen on a lucrative real estate deal in Russia.
The deal was supposed to be a Trump Tower in Moscow, and Mr. Sater boasted to Mr. Cohen that the tower would get Mr. Trump elected president. “Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it,” Mr. Sater wrote. “I will get all of Putin’s team to buy in on this, I will manage this process.”

Earlier in the article;

The searches open a new front for the Justice Department in its scrutiny of Mr. Trump and his associates: His longtime lawyer is being investigated in Manhattan; his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is facing scrutiny by prosecutors in Brooklyn; his campaign chairman is under indictment; his former national security adviser has pleaded guilty to lying; and a pair of former campaign aides are cooperating with Mr. Mueller. Mr. Mueller, meanwhile, wants to interview Mr. Trump about possible obstruction of justice.

All in all, just some other bricks in the wall.....Trump's impending prison wall. banana

bout f*ck time. This unhinged freak needs a bullet in the brain.
Due process takes a lot of time, especially when dealing with a president.
The wall needs to be built very well with multple bricks.
It needs to pass all tests.
Mueller has already gotten 3 guilty pleas from the Trump team and they have agreed to cooperate with
the ongoing investigation; Flynn, Gates & Popadopolous.
Getting Trump's long time attorney will be a huge accomplishment.
Mueller has already gotten business records.
It will take time, but Trump will likely be charged & found guilty of several crimes including money laundering.
Indeed, that is where he has made most of his money.

I've got the popcorn Jim, love watching a man getting his a** handed to him cool The US is not a total lost cause it seems.
Update - a second Manafort accomplice flipped on him. They have thousands of Manafort files locked away in a secret storage unit.

(WASHINGTON) — FBI agents working for special counsel Robert Mueller searched a storage unit containing records for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort last May and used the documents to support criminal charges against him.

That’s according to a partially redacted search warrant affidavit made public late Friday. Manafort is challenging the search as unlawful because an FBI agent entered the premises with the permission of a former Manafort employee who was on the lease. Manafort argues the employee didn’t have authorization to let the agent onto the property.

Records show the agent didn’t seize anything at first and later obtained a warrant used to take custody of the material. The move was the latest by Manafort to challenge his numerous criminal charges including money-laundering conspiracy and unregistered foreign agent work.

Did you see Trump on TV today raging against Meuller about the raid on Cohens office and home? If you are good at reading body language you could see the classic sign of a man in a passive aggressive defensive posture with his arms crossed almost the whole time he was railing against this event calling it a "Witch hunt". It's kind of weird that a guy with his experience in the public eye is completely ignorant about the subtle signals he broadcasts with his mannerisms. I'm pretty good at reading people and when I look at Donald Trump, what I see is a totally naked man. This is like a replay of the hearings that went on for so long involving Nixon and Watergate.

The thing I find most troubling about all this crap going on with Trump and his administration, is it puts the country in jeopardy because we don't really have an effective president in charge because he is so distracted and combative he can't possibly carry out the duties of a president amid all this constant turmoil. We as citizens have a right to an effective FULL TIME President and right now we have anything but.very mad

Hello! JimN......hug

A long time! No see. How have you been doing?!
OD - What Trump has done is FAR worse than what Nixon did. Even if he was an honest man, he would be an ineffective president anyway. He has no experience with public office. He's never done ANY public service. He's never been a cop, a soldier, a mayor, a fireman, or done any public service. He's never even done any volunteer work. He has no interest in helping anyone other than himself and those who supported him. Other than illegal activities, he has no experience running a successful business. His legal businesses fail. He is focused on revenge. He wants to reverse every good thing that Obama got done. He has no idea who to appoint to cabinet positions. He's set records for firing his own appointees. ............................

Hey ap. Good to see you !

nonsmoker
it is a joke.
they are searching for so long.
if there was smoke he should have been pushed away from president.
The Russia thing. some facebook messages don't make someone president.
And the USA colludes in almost all elections worldwide.
off course there is foreign business money involved in campaigns. especially with the super pac system, it is just how the law is written that determines if someone is guilty

Jim: The Republican party is a sinking ship and all the rats are jumping over the side. Trump just may be the best friend of Democrats who ever occupied the White House. rolling on the floor laughing

He said it himself "I love the poorly educated". They are the ones who gave him the keys to the treasury and the first thing he did was give his corporation a whopping 20% tax cut. While he's doing that he tries to take away poor peoples healthcare and then he wants to take away their food stamps and give them moldy bug infested cornmeal and cheese that's bursting the walls out at Dept of Agriculture warehouses, that the DA tried to pay farmers not to grow since the 1950's. I used to get these commodities as a welfare kid years ago so I'm very familiar with this sham.
ooby_dooby
Now Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is calling it quits.wow
Len - in the courts justice does not happen quickly. It wasn't until Nixon's second term in office
before the trial even began. There's tons of smoke. But, we won't know of the actual evidence
until it is presented during the trial.

OD - Trump is a disgusting person on many levels. He has a history of racism, scamming, and illegal activity.
I was shocked that so many people voted for him. To me it was a no brainer that he should hold no public office, least of all president. But, I grew up in the same state as Trump. I have known of his misdeeds for a long time and know people who know him personally. People in other parts of the country mostly know of him mainly from his appearances on TV shows, the beauty shows, and the book which was written by someone else in his name. He is very charismatic and understands the psychology of manipulating people. He can make people THINK that he cares about them. But the truth is, that he only cares about getting more $$$ and will say and /or do practicly anything to get more.

I'm not sure the Republican party is sinking. Right now, they control all 3 branches of government.
Lets say, that they are losing fuel. I would not want them to sink. I think it's a heathly thing to have at least
2 parties. I'd like to see 3 major parties to give people more significant choices, rather than one or the other.
There are 3 branches of government to ensure checks & balances, why not 3 political parties to further ensure this.

Yes, I respect Paul Ryan for retiring. He spent 2 decades in Congress. I wish some other lifers would retire too.
Indeed, I'd like to see term limits like the president has.

In a way, I almost feel sorry for all the Trump supporters. They voted and blindly supported him in the guise of getting good jobs that he promised to bring. Now they have the slippery con man that he was all along, ranting and raving about " fake news ", " alternate facts ". and how he is being persecuted unfairly.

The only thing that this can bring is the chant " lock him up, lock him up "!

PS: Funny how what goes around comes around.

Jim

It is getting very interesting regarding Trump and his shenanigans...lol...laugh

Funny how so many Trump supporters thought he was for America...mainly the white poor people...

I truly feel for those who believed in his BS...thinking about many losing their health care, the lack of infrastructure improvementd in cities and towns, education that is turning private and the lack of funding for higher affordable education...not to mention his promise of better jobs(clean coal) and the lack of environment concerns...looks like Bernie should have been head of the democrats...perhaps he could have continued to make America better...not divisive and chaotic...

Looks like Trump needs to be locked up...not Clinton...

Gr & Lo - Sure, you can't but feel sorry for the stupid people who place themselves in the position of being scammed.
That's true whether it's regarding Trump, or dating site scammers.

Primarily, the fault lies with the lies of the scammer. That's the guilty one.

Sure, as PT Barnum indicated, there are suckers born every day.
However, some of the blame has to also be applied to those who stupidly allow themself to be scammed
without doing critical research.

In Trump's case, there was decades of his scamming, lies, thousands of lawsuits, racism and other ridiculous behavior, that voters ignored or made excuses for. Plus, he had 6 bankruptcies. He would have had 8, except his dad rescued him from the first one
and Russia rescued him from one too.
Plus, he had absolutely no public service whatsoever. He never was a police officer, a fireman, a soldier, a councilman, mayor, a governor, etc.....
He not only shouldn't be president, he shouldn't be in any elected office.

However, in Trump's case it not only affected the voter, but since he won, even those who voted for someone else.

Gr - That's the irony of trolls too. The psychological term is projection.

Lo - It was more the urban less educated white, and the radical & fringe groups (KKK, neo-nazi & alt-right) that were responsible for Trump's election, as well as a flood of internet ads (paid for by Putin) that aimed at discrediting Hillary.
They attempt to project the truth about themselves inappropriately onto their target(s).
When they are stating a lie about you, they inadvertantly reveal a truth about them.

Jim

Many people did not know the history of Trump but you are right...research could have informed them of who he really is...unfortunately the Trump supporters are not commenting on your blog...

I bet they are embarrased by the latest news regarding Trump...or perhaps they will still defend him by chanting "fake news"...lol...laugh

I do feel for those who thought Trump was the answer for their problems...it looks like Trump may have a mental health issues as well...not just a snake oil salesman...

Hopefully, now that the precedent has been set a raid on the offices of Hillary and Bill Clinton's lawyers will also soon follow. laugh
In reality 8 other raids of this type have taken place and all 8 lawyers went to jail.

Hilary Clinton has been thoroughly investigated and the worst thing she has been found to do,
is to use a personal email account.
The Russians, financed by Putin, have been able to convince the less intelligent US voters, that Hillary has done all sorts of illegal things . However, investigations into those claims have turned up empty.
Putin hates both Hillary and Obama, because of the financial sanctions that they put on Russia for their invasions. That is why he went out of his way to flood the internet will all types of lies about them both.
The least intelligent bought those lies; bait, hook, & sinker.
Jim
I think the Democrats failed to look into another candidate...for various reasons...people did not like a second Clinton in power...I could be wrong but Bernie should have not been ignored...he maybe too left for some but he did manage to get Clinton to change her views on education...and Bernie was against the invasion of Iraq...koodos for Bernie...cheering
Jim

Will post Bill Mahr's video when available...should be funny...laugh
I agree that Bernie was the best candidate and would have been a terrific president.
However, he is not a Democrat. He's been an independent.
Thus, the Democrat party was reluctant to support him.
Jim

That is the problem...Bernie was an outsider...like Trump...it would have made an excellent debate if the two were invited to do so...and the youth would have showed up...lol...to vote...

Democrats were more inclined to let Cinton become leader because they had her loyalty and in doing so...failed to hear the people...sadly...always thought a ticket with Clinton and Bernie a good thing...Bernie's compassion with Clinton's moderate stance...jmo...wine

Funny pic...Bernie perhaps too old to run again but that ticket is gold...wine

Sorry that the 1 % ers won with Trump...Bernie would have it cleaned up...pity Trump won with his divisive ways...

Next time...or sooner than we think...it cannot get worse for Trump...

Well, Charles Manson is dead, but David Duke lives. Unfortunately, there are probably a few psychopaths even worse than Trump. Hard to believe, but probably true.
