Success Vs. Failure.

Embedded image from another site

Success can be defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. In simple words, one reaching their destination.

Accordingly, failure can be defined as the lack of accomplishment of a set aim or purpose or one not reaching their or set destination.

During this process, I found that keeping any set goals or purposes hidden or a secret does help not only reaching a destination faster but, avoiding sabotage from others who failed to reach their own destination, set purpose or aim.

In the end of the day, everyone has their own opinion or the so-called opinion.

Another hearing many differing opinions may lead to confusion.

The workings of the mind do come with intention and purpose in the expression of an opinion.

Not all express an opinion with good intentions or purpose.

It is up to another to discriminate between beneficial and not beneficial, healthy or unhealthy as in the discrimination between right or wrong.

Success as in the case of failure is a matter of choice and how it is defined by one may not be defined by another.

Failure for me is giving up, success is moving forward, marching towards a set aim or purpose, even it is just a small step.

Therefore, progress.

Progress can never be made through giving up marching towards a set aim or purpose, a destination.

Moving forward that is what success really is for me.

Progress and growth.

If there was growth from an experience, no matter how hard or difficult, unfortunate or negative then, there was never any failure.

Failure is the lack of progress and growth.

If another moved forward, even if this was a tiny little step then in reality, this was not failure but, success and a success.

Not reaching a destination but, marching towards a set aim or purpose or destination.

How do you define failure and success?.

Is this dependent on the external or internal?.

Does it regard money, a title or a position?.

Happy Wednesday, April the 11th.

@ Hey Mercedes,

Take as much time as you need Love, not going anywhere or in a rush hug
We learn by our failures.

All part of the process to being successful.

That and a heap of patience and perseverance.
I was only only saying yesterday how a woman has no concept of women - every woman is an enemy of every other woman - and how bad poker face is to a free debate, free society and the acquisition of knowledge and progress itself.

And now this. A woman comes up with her secret schemes, poker face and viewing everyone around her as sabouteurs and opponents. Now I'm not knocking this but this attitude has nothing to with progress or knowledge, it's how you survive a prison or fight a war, competition is clearly and fiercely extreme with everyone around you regarded as a potential threat and you're subsequently guarded, cagey and backstabbing. No cooperation or anything even approaching a real friend. You're using the word progress here when the term is anti-social ruthlessness and deception.
Ches,

Will you greet me with a smile and open arms at your proposed party? wave
I deal with failures as a stepping stone to my goals. What I need is goals! For me to be successful at reaching my ultimate goal is to make little goals along the way as stepping stones.

I'm failing at having rainbow colored hair. My first attempt I had to go around with a pink scalp when I tried to have my grey roots colored purple. Grey resisted and turned pink. So last weekend I tried red, grey resisted again and now I have a funky copper sort of color. This coming weekend I'm not sure what I will try, but I have a feeling my experiment in rainbow colored hair is going to be a failure, next step a rainbow colored wig and take my hair back to brunette with purple highlights. ugh

Retirement was another goal I've worked long and hard for, almost there, so close I can taste it, now time for new goals.

I find a learning process to be lengthy hard & difficult especially in personal matters & relationships. I guess that is where "patience" and perserverence mentioned by you comes in and is important.

I've made and tend to make the same mistakes again & again or to be going round and round in circles until I finally get the lesson.

Thanks for your comment. hug

I'm afraid I understand nothing of what you wrote.

You are a man , having had a woman to raise you & teach you about women and how women behave both towards men as well women.

The behaviour of women towards other women is definitely not the context of this blog or unresolved issues of man with his mother or ex wives or girlfriends.

Thanks.
The female of the species is more deadly than the male. All that stuff about women being more compassionate cooperative is not really true, it's a ruse to deceive because in a one on one fight a woman gets beaten to a pulp.

Look a little deeper and they all have a prisoners mentality. Scratch the surface every other person is an enemy and threat to a woman and this makes woman underhandedly and unnecessarily competitive and deep down suspcious of everyone they meet. She trusts no one and is to be trusted by no one(exceptions exist). And the reason young girls adopt the branding "BFF" is precisely this reason; no other person is actually her friend. She'll never have a best friend forever, that's the last thing the woman will have.
@ Chesneychrist wave ,

"You're using the word progress here when the term is anti-social ruthlessness and deception".

In what way?. Can you back up your false statement?.
Enjoy you must. No success or failure there is.

Hello Fay wave ,

Hope you are enjoying your time here so far or "so far so good" hug

"I deal with failures as a stepping stone to my goals. What I need is goals! For me to be successful at reaching my ultimate goal is to make little goals along the way as stepping stones", you said.

I combined this with you heading towards your goal of retirement and in need of "new goals".

Yes, we do " need goals" or I also "need goals". I think goals give my life meaning, a sense of purpose and direction, a drive , a life force and zest for living life to the fullest & maximum and, looking forward to waking up each morning.

No life ends in retirement. On the contrary, it can be a renewal, a new beginning with new goals with time for someone to pursue their wildest dreams I think without any work responsibilities or shortage of time due to tight work schedules or obligations.

I like your rainbow colour experimentation, hope you finally get the rainbow colour you aim at!.

Change of hair colour or style definitely signifies change for me!.

All the best, take care and thank you for your comment. hug

I do not support or in favour of any generalisations or competitive relationships whether these generalisations about women or men take place on the behalf of a man or woman, including both of the above.

I will appreciate it if you could concentrate on the subject of this blog which is failure and success.

Thanks.

Hi Star, we all probably have had failure in our life and just maybe some are cause it was just not meant to be. Success is nice we all love it and I am sure even in success there is some failures. A lot might be the goal we set, is it to much or can it be done.

Nice blog. thumbs up hug
Hello Wen

Thank you.

Your comment immediately reminded me of the words of Thomas Edison's below,

It definitely took me a bit much longer than expected to find these on the internet as I forgot the exact words but in the end, got there!.

"A lot might be the goal we set, is it to much or can it be done", you said.

I find and/or found solely based on my own experience more to depend on the environment than a high or what may seem " impossible " goal.

Something & the exact & same thing that can be done in one environment, cannot be done &/or is impossible to be done in another, different from the first environment.

But, what does success and failure constitute for you?. Does it depend on and is related to the external or internal?. Does it have to do with money, a title or a position?.

For me, as expressed in this blog, success is not giving up. In addition to this, it does not depend on the outcome and is not related to money, a title or position but moving forward even if it is just 1 tiny step towards what one is striving for.

Furthermore, in reality(for me), there is failure if there was personal growth out of the experience.

Take care hug
wave Star, even though nobody wants to fail, without failure we wouldnt succeed at anything. daisy
Hello Keepers wave ,

I agree with "without failure we wouldnt succeed at anything".

Failure is indeed part of success with the meaning of growth & learning from mistakes, something similar to Thomas Edison's efforts -discovering thousands ways that didn't work , discovering a way that worked.

Actually, your comment reminded me of a chart that I saw earlier on today in which failure included success. I will try to find this.

I'm sorry to disagree with you in "nobody wants to fail".

I wanted to fail instead and not succeed. There were several times in my life in which I have deliberately failed & given up just when I was about to reep the benefits of my efforts.

I deliberately failed as I wanted to because, I didn't feel that I deserved to succeed and all benefits that went along it. I was not scared of failure -as a matter of fact, I became an expert on it!

I was scared of success.

Thank you for your great comment! hug thumbs up
Keepers wave,

This is the chart that your comment reminded me of,

However, in the process of searching for it, I found this very funny and accurate scetch that follows below that I liked a lot or even better :-)

Good afternoon keepers wave hug

I was actually writing my first response to your blog, the exact & same time you were writing to me laugh

As you will read in the bit of research made of the very interesting & fascinating subject of your blog, I have failed submitting this the first time as the battery of my phone run out just prior to heading to the completion of it.

I do not save anything that is written by me or write in the same way the second time around (the context of course is the same).

Therefore, I had to start writing the whole response that was lost from the beginning once again.

As you will see, my second attempt & effort was successful or I succeeded in completing and submitting the second response in my second attempt.

Patience & perserverence as one of the commentators of this blog said (is required and necessary, definitely!).

As for running up the stairs, I usually spend time on each of the failure steps, just sitting there, reflecting on what went wrong just before I begin running again.

I think it's essential someone to reflect on any mistakes made & learn, first of all try to find these of course(what went wrong).

At least, that is what I do or like doing.

A question that popped into my mind just now is,

Do you find yourself to grow more determined or failure to be acting as a fuel for determination to grow even stronger and bigger?.

Take care, enjoy your Sunday! hug
I think it's essential someone to reflect on any mistakes made & learn, first of all try to find these of course(what went wrong).

Yes when we know better we do better but we have to be honest with ourselves to get better. professor

I focus on growth more on a spiritual level and learning how to overcome failures or fears, we are busy with a large project, I will tell you more privately.
Yup! Not all should be public! Looking forward to hearing about this hug thumbs up
