In a world where you can be anything - be kind
The heading, and the following, are Facebook philosophies picked up today - it may be just my timeline, but there's a faint trend towards optimism after long months of depression, fatalism, or anger. Instead of scraping flaking horrible (really horrible) green paint off a ceiling before painting it, I'm sharing a few that I likedPeople who show you new music are important.

My mum as a mum - you get what you get, deal with it
My mum as a grandmother - do you want your sandwich cut into hearts or stars, sweetheart?

When life is stressful, go for a drive. Go two or three thousand miles. Maybe change your name.

A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people.

You'll never get anywhere if you keep stopping to throw stones at the dogs that bark at you

I just saved 100% on stress by switching to not giving a fcuk

Also this made me grin - the 3 voices in writing -
Active voice - you ate 6 donuts
Passive voice - 6 donuts were eaten by you
Passive-aggressive voice - you ate 6 donuts and I didn't get any. Don't worry, it's cool. I can see donuts are very important to you.
Rumour has it today is Friday. Have a good one

Take breaks from the Decorating in the heat, and drink plenty of water, make sure to eat, back in the days when I was doing up this place, I used to forget about time.... just painting and gardening and all of a sudden it would be dark, and I would not have eaten for hours.
Absolutely fork lightning type rain here all morning since about 5am. Don't you just miss Scotland?
It is at times like this, that we realise Health is really our wealth.

Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best.
The problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem.
Take care GG.
Ain't that the truth about Mums who morph into Grandmothers....they're so much sweeter.....

Stippled ceilings, yikes, okay, that's really hard work, I feel a bit better about mine! I do hate ceilings, though, constantly working overhead.
We had so much snow this winter and it is so beautiful with the blazing sun.
Ultimate destination of me when I drive that scenic drive is of course the casino. I usually stay at Harveys or Harrahs. Both owned by boyd gaming and I have free rooms and meal with play money.
I returned to ask you Elle if labour is expensive in Spain?
Bloody,
Keepers, I may never finish okay well I have to, I am having a small end-of-phase-one party next weekend and about 3 zillion things to be done remain on the list. So I am of course in CS. Coffee break! And labour is quite expensive but also counter-productive to the point of destructive. The Spanish builders I had in did a lot of the biggest jobs very quickly but also punched a big hole through a ceiling in the wrong place, nearly brought down a support wall by drilling under it, and put a four foot hole through another wall instead of the four inch hole they should have drilled. When fixing one part of an overhang they damaged another. Fired them and have continued slowly but reliably ever since with the invaluable and priceless Z who does the big stuff at mate's rates and I do as much of the rest as I can.
Berry, LOVE grammar jokes and the king and pawn put on their trousers one leg at a time, too
