What's your pet hate?

The thing I dislike most of all, is going to bed and finding I didn't put the clean bed linen on when I washed the bedding!

Isn't this kind of focussing on the wrong thing? If we attract what we think of, wouldn't this be attracting more negativity?

Just sayin' grin
Hey Imp,
My mind is so absent these days, I spend half my day standing one place or another and wondering why I'm there! The other half looking for my mind! I'd be interested to know where it goes and what it gets up to. I keep finding blogs on her I didn't know I wrote.rolling on the floor laughing So that's where it goes! If you find it up here please send it home!
Deception, manipulation, trolling, bullies, braggarts, lars, know-it-alls. peace
CestMero - lol! We all have those moments and times. I'm grateful I have a bed to put sheets on, but do kick myself if I don't put sheets on the bed as soon as I take the other ones off. Inevitably it's a night when I'm really tired and go into the bedroom and .... well, you know how it is.

Focussing on hate only brings more of what you hate, and is usually a reflection of what one hates in themselves. A very wise counsellor once told me, what people say and do is about them and only them. I learned that she was absolutely correct. grin
Yes you little Imp you, and I very much dislike myself when I've forgotten to do that! Hey! I've just had an idea, do you think I could use the law of attraction to get my mind back when it's wandered off?
Hi keepers,
I hope I haven't attracted one of those! Maybe she'll tell me where my mind went. Should I tell her it wanders off? Should I tell her I have a criminal record? Hmmmmm
Who is she? confused
I could tell her my mind had wandered off at the time! Do you think that would work? Plead absence of mind? I never thought of that at the time!
Not from the site and I didn't invite her on because I wouldn't be able to ask you guys for advice if I needed it.
I will check your reply tomorrow. But if one has a criminal record they should be open about it, because what's the point in building a foundation unless it's on solid ground. Honesty might be the only key to her heart so, start right there.
She doesn't speak or read English though but her daughter does so there might have been a problem if she was on here.

I don't understand this, but will check tomorrow. wave Best of luck anyway. teddybear peace
I've told her just now. I'm waiting for the fall out. But there won't be any, this is Universe!
In the shower back in five.
Always plead insanity from the outset.

Any sane, rational, moments will then be received with gratitude cool
I don't have any pets. So, none that hate anything. grin
Molly, good thinking, you're a smart girl.
Jim, thank yourolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
No reply yet but she's read it. Hmmm.
Need a back scrub??? wink
Imp, What could be better than a beautiful woman scrubbing your back in the shower, ermmmm, can't think of anything, you're invited.
I was taught by my mother from a small child never to show hate for anything or anyone.Hate is a pretty strong word.

I might dislike something or someone but I've never shown hate.
CestMero ~ My pet hate would have to be people who crash queues , here we are all standing in line, and somebody just comes to the top and walks straight ahead.

I suppose it is the persons total disregard, disrespect for others and their sense of entitlement that annoys me.
It is my pet hate and people being rude and loud in public would be the next.
It's a normal & natural emotion, bear.
Acknowledge it! Embrace it! Let it out!
If you internalize it, you'll deveop an ulcer and your stomach will be decimated.

GG hello pretty girl. Yes, I understand that, here in France it is customary to allow someone with two or three items to go in front of a trolley load. And the ones who are loud, guess what? Usually English.
The other word or words is Collateral Damage. Blasted him out of it. Blitzed,
miclee
I have nothing to acknowledge or embrace or do I have anything to let out.
I'm a pretty clam person and I listen to calming music which keeps me calm. I've never needed blood pressure pills.I look for the humor in things.
CestMero ~ Now that is a surprise. laugh I am Irish. I hate people doing things that upset others
It is nice to be nice, and easy too.wink
Pet hate is commonly used phrase though and doesn't actually imp-ly hatred. Differences in the English language I guess.
Hello CestMero, wave As for my pet hate, it would be rude, impolite, loud bossy people doh The ones I know seem to be know it alls. The way I see it ,is those traits show no respect for other. Those type people will never earn my respect, just disgust very mad
Bear, well said, see, I don't have blood pressure problems either. Though I might if I don't get a response from that girl soon.
My oh my... don't you know the word hate has been banned. You may not use it anymore as it is a very dangerous word. It can cause people to kill each other and can damage your soul forever. To even utter that word can be disasterous so aybe you must change the wording of your blog.
My pet dislike is people telling me hate is a very strong word and I should not use it.
Simply do as I do in such a situation, gg...
Let it out & beat 'em to within an inch of their miserable worthless lives.
Queue maintained. No ulcer. No worries!
happy place

hmmm

I suppose that option isn't as viable for a gentle strawberry blonde.
sigh
Deal with it as best you can comfort

Biff, made me laugh, yeah good question!
121 , yes you nailed it, it's the lack of respect that's the problem, and I don't like those people either, well let's face it, who does? Perhaps not even them and maybe that is their problem.
don't worry about your mind, Mero, there is a rational explanation, here is your answer smile
Doorway
We’ve all experienced it: The frustration of entering a room and forgetting what we were going to do. Or get. Or find.
New research from University of Notre Dame Psychology Professor Gabriel Radvansky suggests that passing through doorways is the cause of these memory lapses.

“Entering or exiting through a doorway serves as an ‘event boundary’ in the mind, which separates episodes of activity and files them away,” Radvansky explains.
“Recalling the decision or activity that was made in a different room is difficult because it has been compartmentalized.”
The study was published recently in the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology.

Conducting three experiments in both real and virtual environments, Radvansky’s subjects – all college students – performed memory tasks while crossing a room and while exiting a doorway.

In the first experiment, subjects used a virtual environment and moved from one room to another, selecting an object on a table and exchanging it for an object at a different table. They did the same thing while simply moving across a room but not crossing through a doorway.
Radvansky found that the subjects forgot more after walking through a doorway compared to moving the same distance across a room, suggesting that the doorway or “event boundary” impedes one’s ability to retrieve thoughts or decisions made in a different room.

The second experiment in a real-world setting required subjects to conceal in boxes the objects chosen from the table and move either across a room or travel the same distance and walk through a doorway. The results in the real-world environment replicated those in the virtual world: walking through a doorway diminished subjects’ memories.

The final experiment was designed to test whether doorways actually served as event boundaries or if one’s ability to remember is linked to the environment in which a decision – in this case, the selection of an object – was created. Previous research has shown that environmental factors affect memory and that information learned in one environment is retrieved better when the retrieval occurs in the same context. Subjects in this leg of the study passed through several doorways, leading back to the room in which they started. The results showed no improvements in memory, suggesting that the act of passing through a doorway serves as a way the mind files away memories.
Mic, hi, yes there would certainly be some satisfaction in meting out a good beating, I have to say!
Tilla, wow I feel so much better now. applause So even college students get it, and it's not just me that needs help
CestMero - ooo la la! Flattery will get you everywhere. rolling on the floor laughing

Very funny. I don't see a tongue sticking out emoji so here:

Biff, I must remember that, though I can't remember the last time I leaned into a pram to look at anything. No I've just remembered it was last year at a Troc et Puces (French car Boot with whistles and bells) but in the push chair was an elderly dog, and in French the word is mignon, and she was. The dog that is.
