Today FOX Judicial Analyst defends Mueller and his continued efforts in investigating Trump

Evidence is presented in court and THEN we will get to see all of the (unclassified) evidence.

Just because you haven't yet seen the evidence does not mean there isn't any.

Some people also think that Mueller is leaking the evidence.
That would not help his case at all. Indeed, quite the opposite.
It gives the defendant(s) more time to plan their defenses and come up with excuses.
Thus, he will prefer to present it for the first time in court, not a year before Trump's trial.

Justice must prevail. head banger

Supposedly as many as 25 leaks so far? As Mueller stated himself they are not all accurate which brings us back to the media and fake news! Reliable news is a thing of the past!
bohemianjack
Leaks that are not all accurate are likely from Trump himself, he's done it before so he can call fake news.. wink

We can wait and see what was dug up...I bet Trump supporters are reeling at the moment...the what ifs...regarding Trump...

Waiting patiently for justice...

L - that is all we can do. However, learning about the progress is certainly entertaining and provides hope that the wheels of justice are moving forward.

Bo - While that certainly SOUNDS accurate,
that really IS fake news.
That was never in People Magazine.

C - The truth will slowly reveal itself during Trump's trial.

BL - America is already great and would be much better off without Trump.
M - I saw that and do see the potential for a conflict. That Russian should be handled by someone not involved in the previous operation and perhaps why he was left off the indictment.

Yeah Jim, and like Time covers at Trump golf courses this isn't a real Time cover but still could be, and that drives the trumpettes nuts to see their fearful leader parodied.. laugh
Here's a Time Magazine cover most people would like to see;

Good luck on your wishes.

I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!

1) Based upon DOJ rulings issued during the Nixon & Clinton investigations (and unlikely in the extreme to be reversed) DOJ will not indict a sitting POTUS. As an employee of DOJ, Mueller does not have legal standing to challenge the ruling. Even media sources that would want The Don indicted have acknowledged this.

2) Referring to the above roll eyes Prez tweet - the DOJ ruling does NOT extend to a POTUS when he is no longer sitting.......Just sayin'.

And WHY might a POTUS allow his FBI/DOJ to be used for political purposes - knowing he might be investigated, indicted and convicted AFTER he left office?
He might assume he'd not be investigated by DOJ under the incoming POTUS.
Assuming, of course, that the POTUS candidate whose campaign benefited from the FBI/DOJ being used for political purposes prevailed in the election.
Which she did not.

"US TO INVESTIGATE 'FBI SPYING' ON TRUMP CAMPAIGN

Justice Department probe follows US president's call to check 'infiltration' allegedly ordered by Obama administration.

5 hours ago (7:30 am - Mon. May 20, '18 - mic)

(Trump beat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in 2016 US election [Kevin Lamarque/Reuters]... Photo Caption - mic )

The US Department of Justice has said it will investigate whether the FBI spied on Donald Trump's presidential campaign for political motives, following the US president's call for an inquiry.

'If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for inappropriate purposes, we need to know about it and take appropriate action,' Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said in a statement late on Sunday.

Trump had demanded that the Justice Department look into possible infiltration or surveillance by the FBI or the DOJ itself of his 2016 campaign, stressing that it was essential to probe if someone from his predecessor Barack Obama's administration had ordered such a request...."

It was confirmed in the Fisa Memo that such surveillance on Trump's campaign was done by the Obama Administration Mic. That was my understanding on the exposure of that memo. So if this is the case there is no one more guilty than that of the previous administration and the FBI as well as the DOJ approving such investigation or surveillance, right?

Clintonista Mark Penn: Mueller Probe Exposed — and the ‘Deep State’ Is Flailing

21 May 2018827
Mark Penn — Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist during her 2008 presidential campaign who has served the Clinton family since the mid-90s — lowers the boom on Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein, Christopher Steele, the Clinton Foundation, and the intelligence community’s “deep state,” laying out the absurdity and the danger of the Obama administration’s abuse of surveillance and law enforcement against political enemies.
From The Hill:

The “deep state” is in a deep state of desperation. With little time left before the Justice Department inspector general’s report becomes public, and with special counsel Robert Mueller having failed to bring down Donald Trump after a year of trying, they know a reckoning is coming.

At this point, there is little doubt that the highest echelons of the FBI and the Justice Department broke their own rules to end the Hillary Clinton “matter,” but we can expect the inspector general to document what was done or, more pointedly, not done. It is hard to see how a year-long investigation of this won’t come down hard on former FBI Director James Comey and perhaps even former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who definitely wasn’t playing mahjong in a secret “no aides allowed” meeting with former President Clinton on a Phoenix airport tarmac.

With this report on the way and congressional investigators beginning to zero in on the lack of hard, verified evidence for starting the Trump probe, current and former intelligence and Justice Department officials are dumping everything they can think of to save their reputations.

But it is backfiring. They started by telling the story of Alexander Downer, an Australian diplomat, as having remembered a bar conversation with George Papadopoulos, a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign. But how did the FBI know they should talk to him? That’s left out of their narrative. Downer’s signature appears on a $25 million contribution to the Clinton Foundation. You don’t need much imagination to figure that he was close with Clinton Foundation operatives who relayed information to the State Department, which then called the FBI to complete the loop. This wasn’t intelligence. It was likely opposition research from the start.

In no way would a fourth-hand report from a Maltese professor justify wholesale targeting of four or five members of the Trump campaign. It took Christopher Steele, with his funding concealed through false campaign filings, to be incredibly successful at creating a vast echo chamber around his unverified, fanciful dossier, bouncing it back and forth between the press and the FBI so it appeared that there were multiple sources all coming to the same conclusion.
"Good luck on your wishes. "

Thanks, but luck won't be necessary, only proper prosecution. head banger

I think Bill Maher said it best regarding Trump supporters;

"It was confirmed in the Fisa Memo that such surveillance on Trump's campaign was done by the Obama Administration Mic. That was my understanding on the exposure of that memo. So if this is the case there is no one more guilty than that of the previous administration and the FBI as well as the DOJ approving such investigation or surveillance, right?"

Yes. Pretty much right, linds -
FISA Courts were established to protect U.S. citizens from domestic surveillance/spying by their own government.
It's been suggested that some FISA rulings issued during the Obama Administration didn't adhere to the spirit of the law, if not actually break it.

Based upon those rulings it's been suggested that, at minimum, regulations defining the authority of FISA Courts be clarified, tightened & strengthened...
even if an investigation of Obama's FBI/DOJ does not result in indictments/prosecutions.

"I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes"

I got news for you. They were investigating Trump long before he ran for president, because he's a criminal.
That's what the FBI & DOJ do. That's their job.
Just heard on news (8:00 am 5/20/18)...

Mueller Investigation may be concluded by September.
Figures.
Pretty much takes it off the table as a mid-term election issue.
Repubs were already raising it; they would've beat hell outta the Dems with it...
"Quiet coup..." - "A political jihad..." - "Overturn results of a duly constituted election..."
It was getting traction.

Dems wanted it to go away.
It will go away.

If so, nasties, they were presumably using those liberally granted FISA rulings going back to at least to '12 - when The Don began talking like a potential POTUS candidate.
With all that going for 'em, if it was 'their job' to pin something indictable on him, I'd say they were damned incompetent.

Too bad they couldn't come up with something BEFORE he was elected Prez.
Cuz if they dug it up AFTER he assumed office, he was UNindictable.
On account of those DOJ rulings going back to the Nixon/Clinton Investigations, you understand.

This was a fiasco from the get-go.
It was never going anywhere.
A politically motivated witch hunt, if you will.

And now it's become a political liability to a major party.
And so it will...go away.

It is very clear that the anti-thrumps are not listening, reading, what the Thrump supporters have to say.
They don't and never will............just spewing their own hatetred, over and over again,
Give it a break will you?.............thumbs down
It's not that we don't listen. It's that we see through their misleading B.S.

For instance;

Jim what is your main reason to bring this stuff about Trump up so much?.
Do you really believe that you are able to change the mind of the supporters?.
No way Jim, we are not that easely swayed.
We the supporters believe in the President and stay the course.
So why do you keep at this subject, what do you want to accomplish really? wave
People have a right to know what's going on. If the information is accurate or only partially so it should be taken with some knowledge of events and treated as such. I could also ask the same question of all those that post information on past administrations. Is what is posted accurately presented or is it just political manipulation for blind consumption?

This blog is tagged "news". It is for those people who are interested in what is really going on.
I KNOW I am not going to change the minds of Trump supporters. I never thought I would.
They are way too dense to deal with reality, or they wouldn't be Trump supporters in the first place.

It turns out that Guliani just made that date up. I've stated in the past on here, that I don't necessarily

Today the House introduced a resolution to investigate and or prosecute Mueller and Comey.
Where did you hear that B.S. ?? laugh
A variety of opinions (fitw wink ) on Judge Napolitano...

And the overall legality of Mueller's appointment/investigation...

For the record, I'm neither a Thrump supporter nor critic.
Keen-eyed observers of blogs might recall that during the election of '16 I supported neither major party candidate.
One was filth of the earth pond scum; the most despicable criminal ever to seek national office; the spawn of Satan & probably a Reptilian.
The other was all that and something worse.
IMO

Thanks Jenny, for bringing up Thrump supporter/critic so I might make that clarification. handshake

By the time of the election I was disgusted by the whole thing.
I CLEARLY remember the morning after the election, saying to a friend I didn't give a dam which verminous fraud would mis-rule for the next four years - I was just relieved it was all over very happy
