TV EDUCATION

I was having a conversation with my mother the other day, and she asked me how I knew so much on this subject. Well the only thing I could come up with is...I watch a lot of TV....laugh

I have figured this TV out after years of watching and studying it, for instance if I am watching the News and it is Fake News just turn the channel and you will get the truth. grin

Have you noticed these pharmaceutical companies selling there products and then tell you all of the side effects of taking their product. Makers think and you want me to take that. I figured it out with my TV EDUCATION, they want you to buy it they just don't suggest you take it. confused

I am proud of my diploma from TV EDUCATION and am planning on advancing my knowledge with watching more.

Hey Wen,

sometimes I watched TV till I fall asleep , I can't sleep surrounded by eerie silence so I turn the TV on, except when it;s horror movies. A lot to learn TV, both good and bad...even my parrot learn a few words from TV so I don't mind him watching laugh
Hello Wenhandshake Good to see you. I too have a tv education, but I try and follow it up with a lot of reading, (books and computer...) And I also like to chat with people who were at some of the recent world events, (actual witnesses) Mind you, at times, I do get abit skeptical with all the fake news, doh

As my late mother did I have the TV on mainly for the noise. As far as the companies selling their junk I've got to learn that there are usually side affects with most meds,in foods etc.
BW, yes i watch TV till it is watching me sleep. laugh to see all the side effects of some of these products is really scary some even say could be fatal, oh my.
I watch a lot of documentaries, especially nature and travel programmes.

It's amazing the trivia that sticks in the mind laugh
Hi Molly, yes I like watching those programs also. National Geographic and The Learning Channel are some of my favorite.
Haha no-one would turn up for meetings rolling on the floor laughing
Biff, rolling on the floor laughing probably not they would be to busy watching TV. rolling on the floor laughing
Hi Wen applause

I don’t own a TV. Well, have not had a TV for more than 10 years now.

I watch my documentaries on my iPad or computer.

I really don’t like the sound of the TV in the background. Whenever I go to my in-laws’ house, I’d politely ask if I could switch off the TV when nobody was watching it. They just have the habit of leaving the TV on even though there’s nobody around to watch it. laugh
Hi Mimi, yes I understand the problem with TV on when visiting, I also understand some people don't even own or like TV. But I am just a TV nut always have been.

My mother lives alone and she never turns her TV off, and most of the time the volume is off. I guess its company for her.

Thanks Mimi for your comment. hug
Mimi, when we were young, there was a strict rule that always had to be followed - If visitors come, the tv is automatically turned off.

No ifs..no buts!
Molly reunion

Methinks parents were much more wiser back then. Stricter and they meant business grin

Wenever, I'm more of a radio person. Love my old radio that I have on in my kitchen, 24/7
I have no problem with rules that make sense.
That made sense.

If they don't make sense though....devil
When my kids were much younger, I'd always say this to them, "It is right coz I say so." Or "I'm correct coz I'm your Mom!" Or something to that effect! laugh

I won't be surprised if my kids are scarred for life! uh oh
We got a fair amount of 'Because I said so' too.
We survived laugh
Yeah, like how my kids survived my 'gourmet' cooking! rolling on the floor laughing
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger grin
Yeah, tell that to my kids, especially my son!!! rolling on the floor laughing
He's alive, isn't he? hmmm
Mimi, Molly, you both make good points.

Who is running the home in this day and time, I am afraid it is the kids in a lot of cases dunno
Wen, that depends on the adults
Yesssssss, Molly

My two brats
They are gorgeous...as is to be expected bouquet
Molly, exactly. When I was young there was no doubt who made the rules and enforce them. thumbs up
Mimi, good looking kids.
Thanks, Molly bouquet

However, the credit must go to their dad. Thankfully, they take after his looks and not mine! laugh

Thanks, Wen! wine
Children don't come into the world knowing the rules

They have to be taught them by those who are already here

It isn't fair on them to expect them to make them. That is the adult's job
Molly, thumbs up My last pastor once said...you teach your kids to be good, to do bad is already in them,,,, laugh
Mimi, your daughter is very like you
Wen, we are all born with both good and bad

It is our upbringing decides which comes to the fore
Molly, I agree with the upbringing. thumbs up
Oh no, Molly! That’s the last thing she’d wanna hear laugh

Ok, honestly, I think she has my mouth. Everything else, dad’s. Including his temperament and aloofness! uh oh
No Mimi, her whole face..her eyes..everything

I'd know she was yours straight away
