Your Republican party is anti-union for exactly those reasons. They do not want us to be able to negotiate because they want to keep the extremely high executive pay and bonuses. Furthermore, if you vote Republican and are of the working class, you are voting against your own best interest.

To help Americans you need to lose the idea of a deserving and undeserving poor. To be American must be worth something in and of itself I.e the American must be worth something simply for existing.
The problem for the American right is this. To help the American poor over the global poor means helping the less able, the less willing and the less deserving first. To be America first means the worse man for the job and that’s the great contradiction. If it was purely based on merit you’d flood the country with Indians who work twice as hard for half as much. But no, some people are like family and they get more help whether they’re less deserving or not. The problem is guiding capitalist America back to the family, will it pay the price of America first or will they follow best man for the job?
The American middle class has been shrinking for years and the middle class is what made America the largest consuming market in the world. The middle class also pays the most taxes and historically has been the highest overall contributors to charity.
The union system is what really made the American middle class.
Our biggest problem in the global economy is the greed factor in which business leaders chase the lowest cost factor for short term gains. The willingness to move operations to locations that provide the lowest costs of production is not helping to build the middle class and in turn, they are killing their own market.
Trade agreements are complex and should be negotiated by those that are focused on long term stability not short term gains.
American's had best get on board with supporting candidates that support fixing our union systems, lowering education costs, and are willing to work with our allys to fix trade and immigration issues. This mid term election is vital.
Yes, our unions have become just as corrupt as our political parties. These big unions are providing huge salaries for officers, supplementing then with expensive gifts and exotic conference getaways.
The Teamsters Union recently had a week long so called "conference" at the Hilton Resort in Myrtle Beach. It was actually a drunk free for all. Unions should remain small to represent local members and do away with permant office holders. Leaders should have met a minimum number of years working in the line of work for those they represent. They should be paid no more than an average laborer and all union activities should be approved by labor members.
Just goes to show that people in general are selfish and greed driven.

I don't know why the Republicans can sell the term Conservative. Even after a 380 Billion Dollar bailout under Bush Jr, people still buy in to that concept of Republicans being conservative. Flying these children all over the US, what sense did that make?
