One Mans Opinion
So once again I watch, I listen, and learn. I must say that I'm surprised at the number of people that base the success of their relationship on what they get out of it rather than what they can put into it. I guess that's something I'll never get used to.I come from a family of much older parents, aunts & uncles, and cousins that are, for the most part, all gone now. I learned the value of being self suffecient and sticking with a project until you see it through .. and are satisfied with the outcome. Rarely do I throw up my hands and quit but these days that seems to be the overall goal of too many relationships.
Apparently, according to my kids, I am the last living dinasaur, of ancient ways that are long since extinct, but you know, styles have a way of coming back and while I might be on the bottom today, I know a new days is coming and sooner or later, if I live long enough, things are going to be back to peaches & cream again!

I think the idea of being in a relationship is being with that person through good times and bad times.
told a friend a story...
men are dogs...
women are cats...
take a dog and put him in a kennal filled with trash and he will poke around and move stuff till he finds a place for himself..and makes it comfortable...and call it home..
take a cat... offer them the same kennel..they will sniff around and take a look here and there..and then off they go to greener pastures... look for a new and better home...
the 50s and 60s changed women forever..unless men want to be less than men...(which is were they have gone)..dont see any change coming...good luck....
