Evidence that people feel confident & are willing to spend money...
It was predicted that this July 4th period was going to be the highest travel period (Murkuns traveling 50+ miles) since the predictions have been made.
I witnessed evidence of this 1st hand.
A buddy & I was driving out of a large metropolitan area about 6:00 p.m. Monday...usually a high traffic period.
We were approaching a notorious bottleneck & expected we'd be slowed to a crawl - if that.
There was NO bottleneck!
Traffic was moving swiftly & smoothly!
I remembered hearing about the high travel prediction!
Folks had already skipped town during the weekend
They'd taken a couple days off (Monday & Tuesday) which (with the 4th on Wednesday) resulted in a five day 'vacation'.
And they were spending money.
And that boosted the tourist economies in outlying communities.
I was impressed hearing of the prediction on the news.
I was stunned to see evidence of it with my own eyes!
And no bottleneck was much(!) appreciated

San Francisco fireworks was so awesome I swore it matched Sydney in New Years celebrations.
And yes, his performance is even better than what I expected.

Lou, your country as per the last economic report is weak and not only that you depend about 49 percent of your economic survival from us. You refuse to see that, that is your problem, too.
