Evolution, God, Whatever...
Have you ever wondered why there is a male and female version of the species? Why not simultaneous hermaphrodites?Take worms, for example. Each worm contains both male and female sex organs and can both inseminate the other with sperm, fertilise each other’s eggs, and give birth.
By the way, they have epic lovemaking sessions, that far outlast humans .
Yet some species do not copulate at all, they have virgin births – totally self-seeded.
If I were a worm, I would hope to be the former.
Human being in general are divided into males and females (I shan’t go into the exceptions here).
Men are generally built taller and stronger, but can’t give birth.
Women are shorter and slimmer, but can.
Why?
This is not a feminist blog, but as we are looking at the differences, and the sameness, of the sexes, it has to come into it.
Women, for millennia, were put into a childmaking box – that was their role in life. However, we now know, that women are at least as intelligent as men. Why?
If their role is simply as babymakers and childminders, why bother giving them equal brains?
If men’s role was solely to be the provider – chase down those woolly mammoths (or the modern-day version of woolly mammoths) to feed the children , did they need large brains either? Guile and experience is more important when hunting than brains.
So why have we different bodies, with different functions, yet both possessing an amazing brain of which we only use a tiny percentage?
Are we missing something important here?

We actually use most of our brain most of the time. The idea we only use a tiny percentage, or the 10% myth, is exactly that - urban myth.

By the way, I read somewhere that our immune system is very demanding and that most of our brain capacity is used for maintaining it.

If aliens do indeed exist and are visiting our planet, it is safe to say that they most likely have better technology than us.
If they have better technology than us, it would be safe to say they are more intelligent than us.
If they are more intelligent and technologically advanced than us and they have been visiting us, it is safe to assume that they have been around longer than us.
So....I would say to answer your questions about gender, I would say it is probably more complex than what we can understand. Provided aliens have been visiting. lol
Second, regarding men/women similarities/difference- old "story" -superman and superwomen are not real.
Men and women are physically built differently to fulfill various tasks in society at given time (evolution as you called). They complement each other.In afct, males and females are dependent on each other.
Feminism is for everyone.
One morning I went fishing to a lake I'd never fished at before. So, I went up to an elder lady sitting in folding chair with a fishing rod in her hand and asked, "M'am, what kind of bait is best to use around here?"
She answered, "Oh, I don't know all that. All I know is every morning, my husband gives me the worm."
Its my opinion anyway..
But is a man strong enough to endure all women has to endure?
Women work..
Women give birth..
Carry a fetus for 9 months.
Al the sickness and added pressure.
Take care of the men needs on every way..
And still.manage to take care if the house.. And run errands..
I may be wrong am just saying..
Single fathers are often everything to their kids, they juggle as single women do.
Sometimes people have to be put to the test before they know their own strength
I know for men here they are babies themselves..
They cry and wine worse than a new born..
Let them.feel a bit of pain.. Have a cold.. I have seen with my 2 eyes how they perform..
And speaking for the men in my neck of the woods they easily loose it..
If you had anything like a pig you would be miserable coz there is no tight place in this species to fit a needle

As men physically cannot give birth, we can't judge them on how they would react to it.
Not all women are martyrs to the cause either. There are plenty stories of the doctor getting roared at; and even bitten

Difference in the genders, is simply selective evolution. There are plenty of matriarchal societies, and they tick over just fine.
Matriarchal societies do work well, but they are a tiny minority of all society
A skills-based society would be the better option, rather than a gender-based hierarchy.
