My New Interest: Hairy Babies (Not Cry Babies!)

The more experience I have with the human race, the more I love four-legged creatures.

Apart from the horses - and dogs & cats, of course! - I have a great affinity for orangutans and gorillas as they are more human like, but have less negative characters.

I have therefore made a decision to volunteer to work for a few months with baby gorillas and orangutans and give them all the love and care that they are lacking until they can be released into their natural habitat.

On my return I shall be looking for a ghost writer to convert my many notes into a book.
Would "Jungle Woman" be a suitable title?

I used the word cat and then an unnamed misanthrope used a pejorative term for cat. I know not of this red herring that you speak of.

After seeing all those horrors lately...I'm still sticking with my orangutans and gorillas..head banger

As for the horses...they're also having a lot of my attention now the heat of the summer has gone.

We're starting a new training programme now and I've been assigned to look after certain well as my sponsored horse.

Glad to be able to escape this world twice a week.peace dancing
I wish you enjoyment on your new adventure. You will probably open up a gazillion other opportunities as well. My best companion throughout my life has been a dog, granted it has been one dog life cycle after another - lord I wished I bonded with a bird that has longevity because the hardest thing about loving dogs is saying goodbye so many times in our life time.

My baby is furry not hairy, I don't even like hairy humans.
Hi again Fay

I know the feeling..I've had dogs all my life...Some dying of old age...others from last Rottweiler from cancer. .and 2 from accidents.sad flower

My present dog...a 3 year old cross Dalmatian Staffie is nice and healthy and the last dog.
My little dog is 14 now so my harsh goodbye has to be somewhere in the near future. My turn to endure the agony is coming once again. How worth it though, it is.
Oh well Fay, at least you are more or less prepared.
When it´s a tragic illness or accident and the dog has to be put down, that´s really heartbreaking - for me anyway! sad flower
And no matter how many times you go through it, it never gets any easier.
Hi again Fay..wave

I know, it doesn´t get any easier but.... such is life sigh

Although we can never replace the one who´s gone, we can at least keep our heart open and give the same love to some others who are in need of it.
Working with our simian brethren. Just don't scrimp on the nappies, girl.
Hi Aa....nappies? For whom?
The baby orangutans?
Well, Biff, I'm certainly no expert, but seeing the very highest of these animal pals wearing them (chimps), has me hypothesizing. But I'm here mostly to learn things.
