I wanna go home

The other day a neighbor asked me if I could take her to the Verizon store in town because she didn't have transportation at the time and she wanted to get a new phone for her husband who was getting hard of hearing and their phone didn't have enough volume for him. She already had a smart phone. So, off we went. We got to the store and a very nice salesman asked if he could help us. We sat at his desk and the business of obtaining another phone began. He had his smart phone which he was using instead of a computer and she had her smart phone out and using it to get the info he was seeking as I sat there silently watching these 2 conducting their business both paying more attention to their phones than to each other, a sudden urge came over me that I had been transported way into the future to a world I was very unfamiliar with. All I could think of was getting away from this place. I guess I was so deep in my thoughts that I just blurted out "I wanna go home." "But we just got here." the woman said and the salesman looked at me like I was a retard. "No, not back to the house, I wanna go back to the 50's when people looked at each other when they talked, I wanna walk around Central Park, I wanna ride my bike, I wanna go across the street to "Baldies" candy store and get a Coke in a green glass bottle, I wanna go fishing in Castle Lake." I wanna hear "Rock Around the Clock", I wanna see Jack Benny." I felt the tears welling up in my eyes and got up and said I'll be outside in the car and walked out of the store.
I went out to the car and sat behind the wheel and wept like a baby. Where did it all go? Where are all my friends? How did I get here? Is this what we all wished for? I felt lost. I wonder where Danny is? Oh yeah, he died a couple of years ago, Cancer. His older brother Jesse the same. Jimmy must be pretty old by now, he's probably dead too. Rudy jumped out of a 4th floor window because he couldn't kick a Heroin habit. Just about everyone I knew as a kid were dead.
A few minutes later my neighbor came out of the store and we went home. "Are you ok to drive?" she asked. "Yeah I'm fine'. I said and we drove back and I dropped her off at her house.

Is Fear the Real Virus?

Since March 2020 the world has been subjected to the most draconian measures ever applied in peace-time. Although the extent of the restrictions has varied from country to country, it’s undeniable that for the vast majority of people, at least in the western world, there has been a massive erosion of basic human rights and freedom. All this for a virus that has a 99% plus survival rate for the majority of those infected.

It has completely mystified me that so many people have accepted measures such as lockdowns, mask mandates, social distancing, testing and quarantining of people who have no symptoms whatsoever. What has puzzled me the most is that so many people have complied with most of these dictates without taking the time to consider the inconsistencies in what they are being told. For example, if the so-called vaccines that have been promoted mercilessly are really effective, why are people still required to continue practising social distancing and wearing masks? This makes no sense. Yet, so many people comply mindlessly.

In the UK the COVID response has been driven by The Behavioural Insights Team. Recently the Telegraph newspaper reported that members of the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviour (SPI-B) have openly admitted that their work in using psychology to influence public COVID reactions is unethical and totalitarian. Was the real aim to create so much fear and anxiety in the general population that they would willingly comply with dictates they would otherwise have rebelled against? Was it also the intention to create such a degree of fear that the majority of people, many of whom were perfectly healthy, would willingly allow themselves to be injected with these mRNA experimental ‘vaccines’ that have no long-term safety data?

Is the world ready for war?

Wise analysis from Colonel Douglas MacGregor

What's going to happen? How do we come back from this? From Ukraine to now the Middle East, our 'leaders' in The West seem utterly incompetent and utterly oblivious to the reality of the world in which we now live. In the matter of a few short years we have gone from peace (at least comparatively speaking) through strength to reckless abandon and expanding conflicts. Where (and how) will this all end?

False accusations...

I'm the subject of false accusations on CS... again. Not the first time and my accuser has been the same person who has done this several times over the years.
Probably, two weeks ago, the profile of a regular blogger has gone quiet and the suspicion arose that I'm responsible for reporting this member.

Sorry to burst your bubble... FOR THE RECORD, I had nothing to do with it.

Around the same time his profile status changed, I noticed the disappearance of another member. I came home from meetings to see butcher had last commented on one of my blogs. When I clicked the blog to read his comment, it wasn't there. His profile appears to be closed.

So mysteriously 2 members have gone silent.

My suggestion to the person who is accusing me, is to stop your hate and paranoia. Seek professional help for your condition.

It's expected this blog will fuel another round of hate blogs in retaliation... so be it.

Now it's the BDS...

It seems like a lifetime has passed when Hillary Clinton won the popular vote and Donald Trump won the presidency.
So the conservativvs (yes, I misspelled it like one of the members here who is unable to correctly spell Obama, Hillary, Democrat, or anything that's not Rebublickan) coined a phrase Trump Derangement Syndrome or TDS for short.

Fast forward to the present:
Trump is out and Biden is in. No I don't want lectures about 'Stop the Steal' and Trump being the rightful president. The America I know doesn't recognize that belief.

So just like Trump Derangement Syndrome then, it's the Biden Derangement Syndrome now.

Don't believe me?
Do a Pro-Biden blog.

With Trump mentioned or not in the blog, you are guaranteed to get some resistance.
Chances are they are afflicted with the BDS.

Make that 17,999...

A blog appeared last week about 18,000 illegals entering into the United States daily. I followed the name of the guy who made that claim to see he does podcasts and his website asks his listeners for money. I compare that to TV Evangelists and ex-presidents.
Anyway, one day they fell short of 18,000...

That story made it on Monday. Old news... right?

My neighbour

Once a week, usually on Sunday morning, I hear the man in the flat above mine emptying what sounds like a sack full of empty bottles into his dustbin. I don’t know if they are what he has accumulated through the week, or just the spent containers of Saturday night’s consumption.
I think his son lives with him, so he may be responsible for some of the glass that goes into the bin, or all of it for all I know.

I don’t think my upstairs neighbour and I like each other very much. I sense it in his attitude towards me, and I sense it in my attitude towards him. In the three years I have been here, I don’t think we have spoken to each other more than three or four times. The last time we spoke was when he was waiting outside for me to come home, he wanted to complain about my dog’s yapping in the daytime while I was at work. The sound carries upstairs very effectively through the boxing that encloses some pipe work, apparently. It was a very yappy dog and always had been, so I assume the problem had existed ever since I moved in; three years. If so, it must be the most remarkable instance of irony I have ever come across. To wait three years to complain about my dog, and then choose the day before it died to do it, is something that -as they say- you couldn’t make up. When I told him the dog was very ill and probably wouldn’t be around much longer it rather took the wind out of his sails.

If we don’t have a reason to communicate, which thankfully we never do, my neighbour and I tend to avoid each other. I certainly prefer this to any possible conflict. Not so much because we are neighbours and have to coexist, but more, I think, because he is significantly bigger and younger than I am.

Why I lose my temper

I really should stay away from here, this place just makes me too angry. Stupidity and dishonesty are two of the worst things for making me angry, and there is an abundance of both here lately.

The dishonesty is in the videos and articles that get posted. Most of what is in them is shameless distortion of facts, and very often outright lies. The fact that they are dishonest is bad enough, but many are downright dangerous, or they would be if enough people believed them. To encourage people to ignore official rules and guidelines in the present situation is malicious. Encouraging people to act politically, prompted by lies and propaganda is malicious. Trying to frighten people into believing over religious fantasy with the threat of Hell and the Devil is malicious.

The stupidity is in the idiots who believe all this crap. They actually think they are being smart; can you believe that! They think they are one jump ahead of the government, the establishment, the mainstream media, the NWO. The morons are swallowing it all, hook, line and sinker. Who do they think is behind all this “truth” they are being given? What do they really know about these people who are “enlightening” them? What logical reason do they have to put even the slightest trust in them? Just because they are sceptical of officialdom, they seem to think that absolutely any information that confirms their suspicions must be the gospel truth, no matter how implausible or absurd it may be. They end up beating their chests and crowing about not being suckers, while all the while they are being exploited and manipulated by people far worse than their governments.

All this, on top of my having to go back to work on Tuesday, is simply too much. crying

I can always tell when...

I can always tell when it's a full moon. The Trump supporters cannot accept blogs with opposing political views and they resort to slinging insults to the OP.
C'mon people, this isn't your personal site. We are guests here and have to abide by some simple rules for conducting ourselves.

Yahoo articles used to have a comments section and that's been eliminated because too many people with the mentality of a teenager in mom's basement ruined it for the others.

I recall another site that had similar outbreaks. Different folks, similar arguments. They are defunct now and it wouldn't surprise me if the moderators of CS lock more blogs.
