I used to watch the TV show (also on YouTube) about people who were life-long hoarders taking it to the extreme. Last week, I attended a swap meet for people in the model aircraft hobby and remember many vendors who brought out the same stuff that didn't sell in last years swap meet.

I stopped going the ham radio festivals as the percent of used junk exceeded the new products. Sure, it's a way for someone to find a good deal on a part or hard-to-find radio tubes and it's probably a big social event to meet up with people you have talked to on the radio, but have no other connection with. Toward the end of the event, you can see them boxing all the things that didn't sell and bringing them back home.
An old friend works for an electronics firm and scours booths selling components he can sell in his business. Some connectors made 20 years ago are higher in quality than the new products.

I had a few computer monitors that were perfect for design drawings as the aspect ratio was equal to a sheet of paper. Using them daily and the capacitors in the power supply would fail. I found a guy who repaired them for a reasonable cost. His shop was filled to the ceiling with stacks of dead PC's. I went back to see him after COVID and the shop was closed. Brown paper covering the windows and a FOR RENT sign on the door.
Maybe he was able to recycle some of those electronic parts. I've seen videos where they process the gold plated contacts removing the gold so it can be reclaimed and sold for a profit. Probably the cases can be sold as scrap metal.

I've got a few small model helicopters I used for learning, some are still in working condition... but I moved on to bigger and better. I'll probably take them to one of the flying fields with a sign FREE in hopes I can unload them and stop hoarding them.

It's not money (loss or gain) but releasing stuff I have been keeping in inventory.

Now that I'm getting back to music, some of the gear I've been holding on to for years will become useful to me and I won't have to buy stuff again.

Let's glorify European peace and neutrality!
European neutrality is especially beautiful in those moments when someone in the neighborhood starts to get killed, and this someone starts to call loudly for help! At this awkward moment, there is nothing more beautiful than moving to a safe distance and answering from there, from a distance: How rude, how unaesthetic, especially this annoying cry for help... And how good it is that what is happening has absolutely nothing to do with us -good old Europe! Especially if you take a few more steps and distract yourself with something pleasant so as not to feel stressed.Like chocolate, classical music... some gas contracts... football ... Earplugs are also good so that the sounds of the massacre do not interfere with the buffet in honor of European integration.
This is what neutrality looks like .
And a little later (when the ones who were killed go from shouting to “answering”), then the time of European peace comes.
Because -... well, how is that possible! We must stop the bloodshed immediately! We are, kind of humanists. The civilian population is suffering. We demand the immediate start of multilateral negotiations with the participation of Hamas, Strelkov-Girkin and the legally elected leaders of the Hutu tribe, who have just, with complete European neutrality, slaughtered a million of Tutsis.
We must quickly transfer the conflict to the diplomatic plane! Otherwise blood will be shed! And we are kind of against bloodshed. We are Europeans... Locke, Montesquieu, Rousseau... it’s cold in winter, we still need gas... So we need to negotiate!
And, in principle, why not negotiate? So Hitler was quite tolerant as long as he limited himself to the Czechs... Ask Chamberlain.
In short: European neutrality and peacefulness! The main thing is not to confuse the order of words...

It's funny how I always come to this place to ramble through my thoughts and feelings.

I think maybe because in my life I have connected with some amazing people here, fallen in 'love' been hurt, bruised, loved, cried, kissed and lived.

Why is it when you begin to close off and think you need to deal with yourself someone who you are not really looking for, walks up behind you and wraps you up in gentle arms and makes you think, maybe this is real, but, there's always that, but, they'll let you fall one day, it's the question, 'will they reach down and pick you up, or just walk away?'

Lol, my way of deciding if someone is worth discovering is that I try shock tactics, I hand them 'Me', my gentle, my crazy, my kinky, my emotional, my strength and my weakness.

It depends on how they handle everything, I used to give over everything I am and trust so easily that it had to be real, now I hold back and question everything, I miss who I used to be.

What has the world become. A million years to climb out of the trees and caves and now man is returning to them. Gangs take over and run rampant. The un-developed countries flood north to take over developed, leaching off the lib fools using hard working taxpayers money to pamper them. Meanwhile the illegals demand it all, refuse to let go of their proud homeland, , and will take any cash they can get to send home so support their family and when they have enough to live well..hi it back to those countries.
Meanwhile homeless and poor get shown the door.
Major cities that once were Americas pride are now garbage dumps filled with muggers, looters, shop lifters, druggies and traffickers. So main corporations, companies and citizens flee to safer, non lib states and towns.
A major Chicago building, next to the old Sears tower, just sold at 90% of what it had been bought for.
Stores can't lose any more good, risk employees safety and hang it up. Illegals wander into suburbs either robbing or knocking on doors demanding food, clothes or cash.
Now cities are looking to raise taxes to take care of illegals. And when the money and handouts run out, what will a million illegals be doing?
Yet we have bleeding hearts demanding government do more for people who hate America. Biden looks at raising taxes and spending more. Mom told me when I was a kid, Dems are the party of tax and spend. Man, was she right!
Bidenomics is booming. Meanwhile down on the streets, stores raise prices and offer less. Wages go up and costs go up. Rents rise so people chose rent or food. Big Pharma invents pills and a disease to shove them at you for. Never heard of it, but, hey..believe the ads..you suffer from it.
People are spending. Savings. Credit cards. But, both are maxing out. Then what? Censorship is alive and well. Say the wrong thing and get deleted. Pretty soon, the people will be deleted. Soylent Green anyone. Oh, right, you don't deserve the good crackers. You ARE the good crackers.
Be a whistle blower in the US now and end up Putinized.
Work hard and watch your company close. Get a raise and see that automaton move in to take your job.
Read about the inflation my dad lived through in Germany after WW1. He always said the US would go the same route. He was right.

Closed comments on my blog as an angry self righteous individual started throwing insults at another blogger for voicing their own opinion which I understand is everyone's right ?

When you connect with someone who you feel deeply about, it opens up your soul.

The problem is, that you keep yourself in your soul, you have your essence inside that space, and to let someone else reach inside and hold that part of you, is like breaking piece's of a rough diamond, and you begin loosing part's of you, it just depends if you allow yourself to be polished and shine or crushed into dust.

We are all bashed around in the sea of life until, one day, if we are lucky enough we come to rest against another stone and the broken pieces of us fit into their broken edges, and anchor us together enough, so we can ground each other and stop being beaten up by the waves of the world.

We can rest, and the waves can polish our broken edges and smooth them out, it can blend you together in time, to be stronger than you thought you could be.

But sometimes we need to be put into the fire and burned to smooth out the edges and turn the rock into a diamond so we know our worth.
