Haunting story...and sad ending for such an intensely-searching soul.

they recently ran a story here in AK about a couple that was just rescued after being lost in the wilderness. they actually picked them up at the bus that is still there in the alaskan wilderness
it is a sad story but ANYONE who comes here to AK can easily see how much wilderness we have and it is not a secret how cold it can get. I wish someone would have sat that man down and tried to get him to see how dangerous it was before the tragic events that took his life. Hopefully the story getting out will stop someone else who is thinking about doing the same thing

I haven’t read this book yet but well, have seen the movie few times. The character burned all the rest of his money then, left the city in order to discover the wild nature; dramatically, in the end, he died due to eating wrong, poisonous things which he found on the way, because of the hunger!!
The music in the movie, from a member of Pearls Jam is very touchy, meaningful and beautiful, as well.
