When the wind blows: James Patterson Book

When the wind blows: James Patterson
James Patterson is a #1 Bestseller and one of my personal favorites when it comes to authors. Every book I have ever read by James Patterson has been a page turner. “When The Wind Blows”is yet another great read. After reading five or six of Patterson's excellent books, I have to admit I have become a collector of his work. I compare James Patterson to the great Sidney Sheldon who passed away in 2007. James Patterson is considered the “World's #1 Thriller Writer”. “When The Wind Blows” was copyrighted in 1998, and is still selling copies.

The first character you'll get to know in this book is Frannie O'Neill. Frannie O'Neill is a veterinarian in the state of Colorado, and is still grieving over her husband's murder. Frannie's life is about to change again. An FBI agent named Kit Harrison is investigating another mysterious murder, and shows up at Frannie's place. Kit Harrison is not your average conventional FBI agent. The next thing you know, Frannie O'Neill and Kit Harrison discover a very bizarre phenomenon of unimaginable proportions.

The next character you'll meet is Max, an eleven year old girl, who has a very strange life. She is not your normal little girl. Max is very special, and she will lead Frannie O'Neill and Kit Harrison to a place where there are several more children just like her. This place is evil, cruel, and inhumane, and every thing that has happened there is in the name of modern science. Frannie O'Neill's life changes again. She will soon find herself attached to the children, and fight to keep them safe from harm. Kit Harrison's life changes as well, as he grows to love Frannie O'Neill and the extraordinary children.

I cannot tell you much more, because I do not want to “spill the beans” to you. A friend of mine told me about this book, and I never thought it would be nearly as good as it truly was. I would suggest this book to anyone.

This is a great introduction to the Maximum Ride series. It’s a pity that he went down a more teenager route as I feel it dilutes the impact of the great characters he created.
