This one isn't about dating websites, unlike A Second Rainbow - in fact, the other end of the scale.

Miranda has lost everything, including a future, and turns to her only remaining talent, her sexuality. Kept in the style to which she has rapidly become accustomed, she is supported by a succession of men with - interesting - needs as she focuses her energies on raising her adored son.

Things are finally going pretty well - then the tragedy of her past casts its shadow over her again, and she's about to lose it all again.

NO.

He really shouldn't have pulled that knife on her.

Storyline

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. When the shadows of the past rise up and try to take that, too? No chance

.

What happens when you lose everything? What do you do when all of your choices have been taken away?

The accident that destroyed her career as a dancer left her with nothing, but Miranda is, above all, a survivor. Returning to her native Spain she turns to the only bankable talent she has left - her sexuality. With cool determination she learns to wield it to lure men into her orbit, to take what she needs from them.

She’s used charm, compliance, deceit and blackmail to overcome every setback to create a life for herself and her son, and she’s not about to let all that be taken away again.

The first time she killed was accidental.

The second time, she wouldn’t flinch.

Excerpt:

The timing was right. She’d been long enough on her own to be slightly bored and ready to look around, but it was a nuisance that he lived in London. However, he was back at the club within the fortnight, looking anxiously for her, and she’d had time to look him up on the off-chance. Lady Hugh had married the title, not the man, that was very obvious; the man had needs his rich wife didn’t much care for, but Miranda couldn’t afford to be as nice in her notions.

Like Carlos, he was attracted by her teasing orders but to her relief he wasn’t looking for a cruel mistress. He would have been appalled by the sadism Carlos had craved, but he had been raised by a doting but strict English nanny, and remembered nursery spankings with odd nostalgia. He told her slightly wistfully he’d been a bit naughty on the tables, and she shook her head and said he would have to take his punishment like a man. His reaction told her all she needed to know.
