This book is like others by Farley Mowat. It is a stand alone record of the events that transpired, of the causes and effects and how the future lay for an inuit tribe in Canada.
He tells us how they lived, how they died and how they loved.
Here is another example of why many see Mr. Mowat, as one of Canada's best writers, if not the best.
It's a real history lesson, told gently and honestly.
