Black Beauty is the first real book, I ever read.
My Mom bought it for me, when I was 5 years old and I started trying to read it. I would take the book to Mom and say what's this word, then go back. That was another thing I did to my Mom. Eventually, I read it, then read it again and again. It kicked off a fascination with the emotions and lessons that can get gleaned from books.
Black Beauty started my love for reading and is still, one of the best books, I ever read. It also started a life-long desire to see compassion and wisdom advanced and respected in my world, and amongst my people.
Beautifully and elegantly told tale of a horses life.
