Chapter 1 "Time Projection"
The year is 1912, in the North Atlantic Ocean, the 'Titanic' is steaming it's way through the ice fields, the Captain is unaware of the tragic events that will follow. The night is dark and erie as a huge iceberg is looming near the ill fated 'Titanic', striking it creating a huge rip in the side of it's hull, filling it with water, eventually sinking the so called unsinkable ship. Many escape using available lifeboats, the remainder were left on board as 'Titanic' sinks below the waves. In the year 2012...A brand new ship is about to be launched in Glasgow named 'Titanic 2', a state of the art ship designed by the grandson of Captain John Smith, the mission of 'T-2' to travel the exact route on the fatal day back in 1912. It is equipped with an experimental time projector, that has the power to open a time window into the past or future, important passengers as well as scientists and technicians board the vessel. The moment has arrived as 'T-2' leaves Glasgow on it's maiden voyage. With it's newly developed nuclear powered motor with a top speed of 120knotts per hour, 'T-2' is able to reach the ice field within hours. The Captain brings the ship to a halt as technicians and scientists set up the time projector for the time experiment. Professor Scott takes charge of the time accelerator, turning it on, with a hum it comes to life, the projector is aimed just before the ice field, the observers are aghast at what they see. The image of the 'Titanic' minutes before the fatal encounter with the iceberg. Prof. Scott increases the cycle speed to a point were both ships become trapped in 1912.

Chapter 2 "Imprisoned In Time
As 'T-2' Materializes next to 'Titanic', Captain Fraser attempts to send a radio message to warn of the impending danger. No response, as the ship draws closer to the iceberg. Prof. Scott then points the projector directly at 'Titanic', once again the cycling speed is increased, the hum on the machine becomes ear shattering sending both ships through time.

Chapter 3 "Apparition"
The year is 2112...The super ship 'Galaxy' reports sightings of two ships bearing the name 'Titanic', The Captain of 'Galaxy' launches a jet boat to investigate both ships, on entry the passengers seem frozen in time as the projector continues to run, as the jet boat Commander shuts down the device, the machine slows down as the ships start to dematerialize, he leaps overboard in fear of his life. Time has reverted back to 2012. Back in the ice field both ship's Captains confront one another. Capt. Fraser explains to Capt. Smith about the time accelerator bringing 'Titanic' out of time into the future, preventing it's destruction. Smith tells Fraser he will stay in the present and take his chances.

Chapter 4 "Full Circle"
Prof. Scott realizes the only solution is to reverse the fields on the time accelerator and transport both ships back to where they originally made first contact. Capt. Smith tries to outrun 'T-2' but is no match as both ships materialize back in 1912. Scott then reverses the time cycle returning 'T-2' back to 2012, once again restoring the timeline. Prof. Scott understands the time projector is far too dangerous to ever use again. After all the passengers disembark, Scott lowers a speed boat, he sets the self destruct on 'T-2' then speeds off as the ship explodes and sinks beneath the waves. It now rests near it's counterpart 'Titanic', ghosts in time forever.

I wrote this story when I was in hospital but never ever published it. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. The Titanic was a tragedy but I always think fondly of the ill fated ship, I also wrote another short story "Titanic In New York" a what if story, were it never hit the iceberg but was destroyed by conspirator for insurance money.
