It had my personality traits down to a tee. So much so that I could not bear to read it any further, and it took me nearly a year to come back to reading it and reading on further.

The use of the Enneagram structure is amazingly accurate, and extremely useful once you get past your own personality traits defined in this book.
You will have to google the Enneagram diagram to get a full idea on what I am talking about

Here are the 9 basic Personality types in a nutshell and I am a 5 wing 6 and a 5 wing 4 depending on my mood my thoughts or interaction with others I will go in one direction of the Enneagram or the other.

5w6 = The problem solver
5w4 = The Iconoclast laugh

The Two is caring, generous, possessive, and manipulative.
The Three is adaptable, ambitious, image-conscious, and hostile.
The Four is intuitive, expressive, self-absorbed, and depressive.
The Five is perceptive, original, detached, and eccentric.
The Six is engaging, committed, defensive, and paranoid.
The Seven is enthusiastic, accomplished, uninhibited, and manic.
The Eight is self-confident, decisive, dominating, and combative.
The Nine is peaceful, reassuring, complacent, and neglectful.
The One is principled, orderly, perfectionistic, and self-righteous.
