The Historian from the opening of the first page draws you into a mysterious journey told over three generations that as you follow a sense of dread begins building to a horrifying clash with a famous character most of us would dread to meet.

So much of the hype around the Historian is of course to do with its Vampire element but this element is very much downplayed throughout the novel. It is a mystery adventure tale told through different time periods during Europes amazing history. Places and people come alive in a way few tales can manage.
At its esscence the Historian follows the legacy led by Vlad Tepes and his blood descendents. Vlad Tepes is of course the figure Bram Stoker based Dracula on so I will leave it up to your own imagination as to where it leads.

This is an extremely well researched engaging novel that will haunt you with its possibilities long after you close the cover.
