A short book but one that has such a touching story of the friendship between two drifters George and Lennie who move from
one job to another in the countryside of 1930s california.
George is a small man who organises the life of Lennie who is big and very strong and doesn't have too much common sense.
The depiction of the hard aNd heartbreaking choices that people have to make in their lives is just tremendous. The end of this
book has stayed with me since I read it 20 years ago.Unforgettable.

Gentle giant Lennie doesn't know his own strength, and when they find work at a ranch he gets into trouble with the boss's daughter-in-law. Trouble so bad that even his protector George may not be able to save him ...
