Excellent book; the writer went to great pains to study the history of the Great Patriotic War (WW2, as Westerners know it), his description of Caucasus mountain tribes and their languages is true to every last detail, as well as everything else concerning the war in Ukraine and the battle of Stalingrad. I've read most of Anne Rice's books, but this series. It has been very difficult for me to get my hands on a copy of any of the Beauty Books. I've read "Belinda" very much into this same line, but I have always wanted to read Beauty...If someone knows of a way that I can read them, hit me.

Ok, if you aren't prepared for NC-17 style sex scenes this book is not for you... But if you like that kind of thing then you will absolutely adore this series...
