RE: J.R.R. Tolkien: The Hobbit

A brilliant book for both children and adults, as an adult it is a great way to remember our imaginations.

RE: JODI PICOULT: MY SISTER'S KEEPER

This was the first Jodi Picoult book I read, what a twist to the ending, the characters were so real. I am now reading The pact and finding that just as riverting.

RE: DAN BROWN: ANGELS & DEMONS

Although quite a new reader to Dan Brown books, I loved this and the Da Vinci Code and looking forward to reading The Lost Symbol, also watched a couple of documentaries over Xmas, it really gets you thinking if there reall is something in what Dan Brown is saying

RE: Karyn Bosnak: Twenty Times a Lady

I just started reading this book. The first few chapter is about real life... And how hard it is out in the world to find a real mate.... I like the book... I give it an A+....

RE: Thomas Harris: Hannibal Lecter Trilogy

Undeniable masterpiece. As to the movies (except the Hannibal Riing), Anthony Hopkins is the perfect embodiment of Dr. Lecter in the collective unconscious who evokes awe rather than disgust.

RE: George Orwell: 1984

Well, I lived through very much something like it in the USSR; still cannot forget the madness despite so many years that have passed since the collapse of the SYSTEM.

RE: Johnathon Littell: The Kindly Ones

Excellent book; the writer went to great pains to study the history of the Great Patriotic War (WW2, as Westerners know it), his description of Caucasus mountain tribes and their languages is true to every last detail, as well as everything else concerning the war in Ukraine and the battle of Stalingrad. I read it with immense pleasure (in French).

RE: Anne Rice: sleeping Beauty Series

I've read most of Anne Rice's books, but this series. It has been very difficult for me to get my hands on a copy of any of the Beauty Books. I've read "Belinda" very much into this same line, but I have always wanted to read Beauty...If someone knows of a way that I can read them, hit me. wave

RE: Katherine O''''Neal Gear&W. Micheal Gear: People of the Lakes

My brother thought I looked bored while staying with him, so he tossed me this book to read. It isn't the type that I usually read, but I found it interesting.

RE: Anne Rice: sleeping Beauty Series

Ok, if you aren't prepared for NC-17 style sex scenes this book is not for you... But if you like that kind of thing then you will absolutely adore this series... It all starts with the kidnapping of Beauty and goes from there... Excellent read.... I personally have read it two or three times...
