A friend is someone who demands nothing from you. Well, if they demand it then it means they realy realy needing it, and if you are their friend then you give it even if you have to put yourself out to do it. Because one day the day will come when they will do the same for you.
And yes, their door is always open no matter the circumstances.
A friend does not judge or condemn.
A friend walks neither behind you nor in front of you - they walk at your side, sometimes they carry you and sometimes you carry them, and neither ever holds a grudge or keeps a score card.
Except when it comes to paying for the beer!.. or smoking your cigarettes!

Ahh the Zoll I rolled for you!Now, I have to launch into a long story of howcome you got a hand-rolled zoll from me!
First off, it was not lipstick covered - the paper was sealed with spit - in the time honoured manner of licking the paper!
And the only reason I rolled you a joint was that you ran out of smokes and trailed after me and my big fat tobacco bag when you saw me going outside for a smoke at Fat Harrys pub - with that faithfull puppy-dog look on your face hoping I`d take pity on your nicotine withdrawal symptoms - cause I had a big fat bag full of loose tobacco - so I never run out of smokes - and all you smokers buy those little packets of chemical sticks and then you gotta go pour your coins into those big ugly machines that belong to the cigarette companies - and you run out of change so you run out of smokes, which I never do!
