I've noticed since I've been a member, that a lot of single parents post pics of either their kids or them with their kids. Am I the only one that thinks this is a little careless. Don't get me wrong I'm very proud of my children and any parent should be. The fact of the matter is that this day and age it's dangerous to advertise you children on the internet. Thoughts, anyone?

I agree, which is why I don't have a pic up of my sons. Maybe after they turn 18, but not now as teens. Many sites don't allow you to put up pics of your children unless you're in it with them...but even this is dangerous to me.

I guess to each his own but I would never put a pic of my daughter on my profile, she is a very beautiful 17 year old and I worry about how men might look at her.
I agree! I would never even consider posting my kids pictures with or without me on the internet. I wouldn't even let there school post their pics on the school's website. When the permission slip came home in the beginning of the school year, I always checked "permission NOT given". There's too many crazy people out there!

morgan5: No, i wouldn't it's a dating site, if i met someone they would get to see them when i was ready if it was working out
Exactly!
Also, I find pics with people on their bikes, next to their cars, by their pools, with the fish they caught, etc quite annoying. People should be posting pictures of themselves, with a clear view of their faces first and foremost - and NO b....y sunglasses!
I never answer/contact anybody if I can't see them.

"I've posted a pic of me and my daughter in the past . And,I don't see it to be a problem, for me or her for that matter.BTW,she's 21 and has consented to it."
Hmmm. I have sent a few people pics of my children and grandchildren once I've got to know them a bit. I'm proud of them I suppose, am I using them as bait? Maybe I have been unconsciously, but aren't most of us here trying to catch someone? I think I've been trying to warn ladies what they may be in for!!
